My Jesus, You are everything to me!

"Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me; "See that you do not despise one of these little ones; for I tell you that in heaven their angels always behold the face of my Father who is in heaven.  What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray.  So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.

Abba, Father, Lord God, thankful, humbled I lay myself at the foot of the Cross asking for Your continued grace and mercy; and that You would bless me and mine indeed, enlarge our territory and lay Your hand upon each of us as only You know our unique individual  wants and needs, our heart, keep us from evil and from causing pain. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

He who abides in me, and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If a man does not abide in me, he is cast forth as a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire and burned. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you. By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be my disciples. Abba, Father, Lord God, humbled, thankful and aware that You hear my prayers, thoughts and every heart beat; as in today’s readings from Corinthians where St. Paul writes:
For it is the God who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, to show that the transcendent power belongs to God and not to us. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;  always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. So we do not lose heart. Though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed every day. For this slight momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison,  because we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
I seek to feel each word without understanding or knowing, but by faith feel, and in feeling find hope, and in hope I feel the love of Jesus and the connection to Him through the Spirit as He describes in today’s Gospel. Not that it is easy for me to walk connected, but yet I know that when and if I do, I can do and handle anything. O Lord God that You would bless me and mine indeed, laying Your hand upon us to protect, heal and keep us from evil and from causing any pain. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

And I brought him to your disciples, and they could not heal him." And Jesus answered, "O faithless and perverse generation, how long am I to be with you? How long am I to bear with you? Bring him here to me."  And Jesus rebuked him, and the demon came out of him, and the boy was cured instantly. Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, "Why could we not cast it out?" He said to them, "Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, `Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you."

To suffer and to be happy although suffering, to have one’s feet on the earth, to walk on the dirty and rough paths of this earth and yet to be enthroned with Christ at the Father’s right hand, to laugh and cry with the children of this world and ceaselessly sing the praises of God with the choirs of angels — this is the life of the Christian until the morning of eternity breaks forth.

Abba, Father, Lord God, thankful, humble, yet perplexed, seeking answers and guidance for often with everything I learn I seem to have more questions. I look fight not to look back and questions what I should have and not to look ahead to what I could, but stay present with You and only look at want You want me to do. However I look for how You want me to use what happened, and how You want me to prepare for what will happen, using each moment with You to repent, rejoice and share with others what I have and learn in my conscious moments with You. For while I feel and try to understand it is natural to share my joy, and protect mine from the errors of my ways; as with spreading the Gospel, I must walk it, to show it, live it, for others to see it, and trust You for the rest. O Lord my heavenly Father, in Jesus name through the Spirit, I ask You to bless me and mine indeed, enlarge our territory and lay Your hand upon us to protect, heal and keep us from evil, while helping us not to cause any pain. This I ask in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Then he made the disciples get into the boat and go before him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowds. And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone, but the boat by this time was many furlongs distant from the land, beaten by the waves; for the wind was against them. And in the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea. But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified, saying, "It is a ghost!" And they cried out for fear. But immediately he spoke to them, saying, "Take heart, it is I; have no fear." And Peter answered him, "Lord, if it is you, bid me come to you on the water." He said, "Come." So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus; but when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, "Lord, save me." Jesus immediately reached out his hand and caught him, saying to him, "O man of little faith, why did you doubt?" And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. And those in the boat worshiped him, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God."

Abba, Father, Lord God, I read today’s Gospel and I feel Jesus telling me to ‘take heart, it is I; have no fear’. I try to hear each word Jesus spoke as if I was there when He spoke them, trying to feel what He meant at that moment and then as living words, words that He meant for the generations to come, that He knew we would be able to read, listen and feel. As the Son I know Jesus walked and felt what I feel, so I know that He knew He was also speaking to me, to us, whenever He spoke. He knew what I would face, feel, and even how I would react until I heard Him, humbling listening, humbling seeking, humbling asking; thus He says and ask ‘O man of little faith, why did you doubt?’ All the time knowing I would doubt and as St. Josemaria says ‘want a cross to my own taste’  to ease the doubt and make it easier to walk by faith. To choose as a man chooses, not obey as a son should obey. Jesus knew that I (we) would often create our own crosses never knowing that what we ask for may not be what we really want, need or can handle. He knew our doubt would create more doubt and that seeking our own path based on our human desires would lead to a cross we could not bear, alone.  Jesus knew, Jesus knows what I need to know; help me learn, help me listen, help me follow. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Abba, Father, Lord God, thankful, humble and aware; thankful for Your blessing; humbled at the foot of the Cross; aware that in all despite yesterday and regardless of tomorrow, today I ask that You to give me that portion of grace and mercy to let my light shine from within and maintain my saltness, and taste for the truths in Your Words and teachings of Jesus in every moment through conscious connection in the Spirit through Jesus the Son with You the Father. For I see the truths in today’s reading of 2 Timothy where I feel each generation is being charged and warned preach the word, be urgent in season and out of season, convince, rebuke, and exhort, be unfailing in patience and in teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own likings, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander into myths. As for you, always be steady, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfil your ministry.‘ O that You would bless me today, use it to enlarge my territory, let Your hand be with me and mine to protect, heal and keep us from evil and causing pain. Simon Peter replied, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." And Jesus answered him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jona! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the powers of death shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." Then he strictly charged the disciples to tell no one that he was the Christ. For I do seek Your will and I do want to fulfill Your purpose for me; firmly believing the words You spoke to Jeremiah ‘I will put my law within them, and I will write it upon their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people’ I call upon You to light my way and eliminate any uncertainty in my heart and mind as to what to do and how.
