My Daily Prayers and Readings for 01/30/2014
Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.” Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’”

Lord God, I set aside this time to spend with You, for time in Your presence, meditating on Your Word, and 
communicating with You.1 To let You create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. To free me of any judgement and to fill me with forgiveness and love. To get strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) To remind me that if even I get nothing else done this day, I need to spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. To pray without ceasing for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and for those You place in my path. To ask that whenever I speak, You would give me the words so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
