My Daily Prayers and Readings for 10/18/2012

Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.

Abba Father You always answer me with the Words I need to hear, today’s verse from the end Psalms 271  Of David’s is just another example. Reading the entire Psalm I am taken into David’s mind and heart. I come to You in the name of Jesus Christ who lives within me through the Holy Spirit so that You would create in me a pure heart, a heart after Your own heart, like David, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, like David, for my one walk in and with You, like David. Show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people by helping me die to myself. Help me stand with eyes of faith, having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, I ‘wait for on You; I try to be strong and take heart and wait for You’ and Your time. Amen.

The LORD confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them. My eyes are ever on the LORD, for only he will release my feet from the snare.

Abba Father ‘may my life and witness always point to You. You are the source of every good gift. Every talent I have comes from You. Please use me today to reveal Your greatness to those around me. May Your name be lifted up and exalted.’1 I come to You in the name of Jesus Christ who lives within me through the Holy Spirit so that You would create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with You. That You will show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. That You will help me stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. My Daily Prayers and Readings for 10/16/2012

May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Abba Father my Rock and my Redeemer, I turn to You more and more for comfort and guidance in times of turmoil and with thanksgiving in times of peace and joy. I turn to You each morning, asking in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit that You would create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. I turn to You so that You will show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. I turn to You to help me stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

That You will show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. That You will help me stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You continue to bless me and mine by revealing Your will, and guiding us in fulfillment of Your it, always keeping us from evil and pain; while reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Abba Father I have grown to believe as St. Paul writes to the Corinthians ‘For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.’1 I must walk by faith with hope, but most of all in love; trusting in what I believe. That You do have a plans for me, and my future is in Your hands; not as the world under the sun sees, but according to You will and purpose. My focus must be to love others as You love me walking with eyes of faith and full of hope that Your presence in me will be visible to those whose path I cross. So I start each day asking in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit that You would create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. That You will show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. That You will help me stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
