One Walk

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 10/03/2012

When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?”

Abba Father we all want to know what is planted in our hearts and mind, The meaning of life. Why are we here? The answer is You! Our fallen nature is the illness that keeps us from finding out that the seed planted in us, is the need to know, love and have a relationship with You. You planted it there when You created us, and only You can help it grow to become what You meant us to be. So in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I come to You daily, so that You would create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, the starting point for my one walk in and with Jesus each day. I ask that You will show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. I take Your hand each day as I stand having girded my waist with Your truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness that only You can provide, and having shod my feet with the preparation of Jesus’ gospel of peace; and above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one who seeks to keep me from doing Your will, and being what You created me to be. Always asking that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 10/02/2012

People draw near Me with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but their hearts hold off and are far away from Me.

Abba Father Your Words are full of truth, to bad we are taught religion, rather than Your Words  of truth. How unfortunate ‘that so many of us honor You with our lips; But our heart is far from You1’. We are to much like the Pharisees that Jesus warned us about; dishonoring Your Words by our hypocritical behavior and actions under the sun. We allow worry, anxiety, fear and desire for the things under the sun to consume us, leaving no room for You. This is for me, the difference between believing You are God, and following You as our Lord God and Savior. Hearing the Call, and knowing that we can never be what You created us to be without You. We must in all supplication come to You, in the name of Jesus Christ, so that You can forgive us and create a pure heart in us, and renew a steadfast spirit within us. Asking that You will show and teach us how to be a channel of Your truth, peace and love in all situations will all people. Grasping Your hand as we stand each day having girded our waist with this truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod our feet with the preparation of Jesus’ gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which we will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one, who seeks to separate us from You. Humbly praying that You continue to bless us and ours in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; and reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 10/01/2012

“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Abba Father we are not in an arena facing death, nor do we live in a Country where we face imprisonment or death; but those who believe and follow You do face what I believe is a threat that will eventually lead to the type of persecution Jesus tells us about in today’s verse. Now more than anytime in my lifetime we must stand having girded our waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which we will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. We must eliminate all hypocrisy from within us and our walk, and in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within us through the Holy Spirit pray daily that You would create in us a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within us, for one walk in and with Jesus. We must open ourselves to You fully holding nothing back so that in that in the now of each moment You can show and teach us how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. We must pray without ceasing for our nation, always asking that You continue to bless us in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done each day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,

Abba Father ‘this is my prayer that my love for You may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight into Your truths, so that I may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless my one walk in and with Christ Jesus. That You will show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. That in You each day I may in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit come to You so You can create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. So I can stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

Abba Father as believer I often felt that because I could see the light that was enough, but I realized I was still hiding from it; and I could have the relationship with you I sought, I needed to be in the light to become a follower.  And as a follower I have grown  in love, appreciation and awareness of what a relationship with You really means and I want to become more. So in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I come to so that You would create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. That You will show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. That You will help me stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.

Abba Father searching for the right words to express what I am thinking, You once again provide them, opening the way for me to explore new insights from within and not getting distracted with what is outside. Now in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I come to You so that You would create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. So that You will show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. So that You will help me stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Abba Father far too often I feel to many of us put You second or last, thinking let me first do this or get here and then… I know I did! The truth as all truth lies in Your Word, just as reflected in today’s verse ‘but seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.’ For me the seeking starts each day when in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I come to so that You would create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. So that You will show me and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. So that You will help me stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. So that I can ask that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; and so that You will remind me that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
