One Walk under the Sun with the Son

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 8/31/2013

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.

< >< My Prayer >< >

Lord God I confess that some days I would rather not be so very dependent on You. But then I am reminded that truthfully I don’t have all the answers. I need Your presence and perspective. I want to see what You will do today as I humbly depend on You. 1 So I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l)  Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying on all occasions for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert to always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Good and upright is the LORD; therefore he instructs sinners in his ways. He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way. All the ways of the LORD are loving and faithful toward those who keep the demands of his covenant.

Lord God, it’s actually somewhat freeing to admit that there are some things I simply don’t know. Sometimes relationships baffle me, or I need help with a decision. Will You show me Your way today? 1 Create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me for my one walk in and with You today. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l)  Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert to always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Abba Father I am grateful that You see everyone’s heart, and that You lead those who look to You for guidance. I am not left to my own devices, or to random decision-making. Help me to see others through Your eyes, so that I can discern how best to serve them or partner with them. 1 Through the Holy Spirit create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l)  Remembering that if I get nothing else done, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me.
