One Walk

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 02/26/2013

Come now, let us set things right, says the Lord.

< >< My Prayer >< >

Abba Father through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within us. Forgive our sins against the unity of Your family; make us love as you loved us.1 For love is the source our one walk in and with You today, as channels of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power, by putting on Your full armor by standing firm with the belt of Your truth buckled around our waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with our feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. Taking up the shield of faith, with which we can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one who lurks in each moment waiting to keep us from loving and forgiving. Wearing the helmet of salvation and carrying the sword of the Spirit, which is Your word. Praying in through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert and always praying for those You place in our path. Asking that whenever we speak, words may be given to us, so that we will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel.(r or l) Remembering that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 02/25/2013

“Be compassionate, as your Father is compassionate.”

Abba Father, Father of light, in you is found no shadow of change but only the fullness of life and limitless truth. Open our heart to the voice of Your Word and free us from the original darkness that shadows our vision. Restore our sight that we may look upon your Son who calls us to repentance and a change of heart.1 Create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within us. For our one walk in and with You today, as channels of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power, by putting on Your full armor by standing firm with the belt of Your truth buckled around our waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with our feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. Taking up the shield of faith, with which we can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one who lurks in each moment waiting to separate us from You. Lord Jesus, you spoke peace to a sinful world and brought mankind the gift of reconciliation by the suffering and death you endured. I love you and joyfully bear the name ‘Christian.’ Teach me to follow your example. Increase my faith, hope and charity so that I may struggle to turn hatred to love and conflict to peace.1 I come to You each day to pray and ask that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within us for our one walk in and with You today, as channels of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Abba Father I enter on this path of repentance so that in dying to self I might rise to new life.1 I come to You through the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ who lives within me so that You will create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with You. So that You will show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. So that You will help me be strong in You and Your almighty power, putting on Your full armor by standing firm with the belt of Your truth buckled around my waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with my feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, taking up the shield of faith, with which I can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one who lurks in each moment waiting to separate me from You. Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends.

O Jesus, humbled to abjection for me, teach me to humble myself for love of You.1 I come so that You will create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with You. So that You will show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people no matter their intent. So that You will help me be strong in You and Your almighty power, putting on Your full armor by standing firm with the belt of Your truth buckled around my waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with my feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, taking up the shield of faith, with which I can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Taking the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your word. And praying in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Staying alert and always praying for those You place in my path friend or foe. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel.(r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
