One Walk

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 12/04/2012

I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.

Abba Father how easily we become hypocrites, proclaiming to be followers without even believing. For if we believe, how can we not follow. Therefore if we are not following, it is because we have chosen darkness over light. Unable to turn our belief into action, we give way to doubt and fear. Not I, like Jesus told Peter, I say – get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns. 1 I will not be pulled back into darkness, I will fight off doubt and overcome fear. I will come to You Lord over and over in the name of Jesus Christ who lives within me through the Holy Spirit so that You can create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with You. I will fight to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. I will be strong in You and Your almighty power, putting on Your full armor by standing firm with the belt of Your truth buckled around my waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with my feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, taking up the shield of faith, with which I can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one who lurks in the dark waiting to separate me from You. Taking the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your word. I will pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, i will be alert and always pray for all You put in my path, as well as for me and mine for fulfillment of Your will. Praying that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen. .

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 12/02/2012

[God’s Final Word: His Son] In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.

Abba Father much has been done in His name that is not according to His words, teachings or will, yet His words remain like no other under the sun – alive and full of truth. The truth that we must strive to be one with You, like He is one with You through a direct and personal relationship with You through Him in the Spirit. This is why He came into the world under the sun, and this is what He has taught me. This is why I come to You in His name each day, the name of Jesus Christ who lives within me through the Holy Spirit so that You would create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with You. It is not easy and He warned it would not be easy. This is why I need You to show and teach me daily how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. This is why I need Your help, to be and remain strong in You and Your almighty power, putting on Your full armor by standing firm  with the belt of Your truth buckled around my waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with my feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, taking up the shield of faith, with which I can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one who lurks in each moment waiting to create doubt and separate me from You. So I take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your word. And keep praying in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this mind set, being alert and always praying for all the Your people, me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. That whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen. .

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 11/30/2012

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

Abba Father by Your grace I am what I am in You, 1 and through that grace I pray i will be what You intend me to be. All I need to do is keep coming to You each day in the name of Jesus Christ who lives within me through the Holy Spirit so that You can create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with You. So that You will show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. So that You will help me stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one who only seeks to keep me from You. Always praying that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 11/28/2012

I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service, even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent aggressor. Yet I was shown mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief; and the grace of our Lord was more than abundant, with the faith and love which are found in Christ Jesus. It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all. Yet for this reason I found mercy, so that in me as the foremost, Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

Abba Father ‘my life is hopeless without You. I am born with a “flesh” nature and continue to choose wrong paths throughout my life.’1 Only in and with You can I be what You created me to be; and only because of Your mercy and grace and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ am I able to have a relationship with You now. This is why I come to You each morning in the name of Jesus Christ who lives within me through the Holy Spirit so that You would create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with You. For You to show and teach, and remind me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Knowing only You can help me stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one who only seeks to tempt me and take advantage of my flesh nature. Praying without ceasing that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
