My Daily Prayers and Readings for 11/20/2012
Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night.

Abba Father to walk among, but not in step with; to stand among, but not in the way; to sit among, but not succumb is the challenge under the sun. To follow Jesus’ example of being among, but not being of. Staying as one with You through eyes of faith and delighting in Your word enough to meditate on it day and night. To come to You each day in the name of Jesus Christ who lives within through the Holy Spirit so that You can create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within, for one walk in and with You is the only way. Dying to self over and over again to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Praying without ceasing for others and asking that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, keeping us from evil and pain; and reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
