One Walk

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 10/22/2012

But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit,1

Abba Father I come to You in the name of Jesus Christ who lives within me through the Holy Spirit so that You would create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with You. A walk of ‘discipleship not impulsiveness. Not along the lines of my own nature, but along the lines of Your nature. For Impulsiveness is a trait of the natural life, and You always ignores it, because it hinders the development of the life of a disciple.’2 If I am become a channel of Your peace and love I must learn to ‘be exceptional in the ordinary things of life, and holy on the ordinary streets, among ordinary people.’3 I must stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always praying that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 10/21/2012

I desire to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart.”

Abba Father ‘I desire to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart.’1 I work to stay ‘a man after your own heart.’2 I start each day by coming to You in the name of Jesus Christ who lives within me through the Holy Spirit so that You can create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with You. I ask You to show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. I stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always praying that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.

Abba Father You always answer me with the Words I need to hear, today’s verse from the end Psalms 271  Of David’s is just another example. Reading the entire Psalm I am taken into David’s mind and heart. I come to You in the name of Jesus Christ who lives within me through the Holy Spirit so that You would create in me a pure heart, a heart after Your own heart, like David, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, like David, for my one walk in and with You, like David. Show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people by helping me die to myself. Help me stand with eyes of faith, having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, I ‘wait for on You; I try to be strong and take heart and wait for You’ and Your time. Amen.

May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Abba Father my Rock and my Redeemer, I turn to You more and more for comfort and guidance in times of turmoil and with thanksgiving in times of peace and joy. I turn to You each morning, asking in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit that You would create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. I turn to You so that You will show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. I turn to You to help me stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
