Now the serpent was the most cunning of all the animals
that the LORD God had made.
The serpent asked the woman,
"Did God really tell you not to eat
from any of the trees in the garden?"
The woman answered the serpent:
"We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden;
it is only about the fruit of the tree
in the middle of the garden that God said,
‘You shall not eat it or even touch it, lest you die.’"
But the serpent said to the woman:
"You certainly will not die!
No, God knows well that the moment you eat of it
your eyes will be opened and you will be like gods
who know what is good and what is evil."
The woman saw that the tree was good for food,
pleasing to the eyes, and desirable for gaining wisdom.
So she took some of its fruit and ate it;
and she also gave some to her husband, who was with her,
and he ate it.
Then the eyes of both of them were opened,
and they realized that they were naked;
so they sewed fig leaves together
and made loincloths for themselves.

When they heard the sound of the LORD God moving about in the garden
at the breezy time of the day,
the man and his wife hid themselves from
the LORD God among the trees of the garden.

Formed: Sin and Avoidance

Sin makes you hide from God. When you avoid Confession, Mass, or prayer, you imitate Adam and Eve hiding in the garden. However, when you have the courage to reunite with God, you will heal faster and better than ever.

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, Holy Spirit within me.
My good Jesus, please open my ears and the ears of each of mine to hear all that You wish to say to us and please loosen our tongues so that we will become mouthpieces of Your holy word to others. I offer myself to You for Your glory and pray that each of mine will do the same, use us in accord with Your holy will. Jesus, I fully trust in You.
Thank You for walking with us. For teaching us and guiding us. Help us to practice Your presence. Continue to bless and protect us. Forgive and love us. As we seek to be closer to You.

Hear my prayers!
Praying for those who are ill and or facing health issues. Praying for their healing, recovery, wellness and awakening. Give them the strength they need to make the necessary changes needed for a healthy lifestyle anchored in You.

The LORD God said:
"It is not good for the man to be alone.
I will make a suitable partner for him."
So the LORD God formed out of the ground
various wild animals and various birds of the air,
and he brought them to the man to see what he would call them;
whatever the man called each of them would be its name.
The man gave names to all the cattle,
all the birds of the air, and all the wild animals;
but none proved to be the suitable partner for the man.

So the LORD God cast a deep sleep on the man,
and while he was asleep, he took out one of his ribs
and closed up its place with flesh.
The LORD God then built up into a woman
the rib that he had taken from the man.
When he brought her to the man, the man said:

"This one, at last, is bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
this one shall be called ‘woman,’
for out of ‘her man’ this one has been taken."

That is why a man leaves his father and mother
and clings to his wife,
and the two of them become one flesh.

The man and his
wife were both naked, yet they felt no shame.

He said to her, "Let the children be fed first.
For it is not right to take the food of the children
and throw it to the dogs."
She replied and said to him,
"Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps."
Then he said to her, "For saying this, you may go.
The demon has gone out of your daughter."

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, Holy Spirit within me.
My merciful Lord, I trust in Your perfect love for me and for all peoples. I pray especially for those who carry heavy burdens and for those whose lives are deeply intertwined with evil. Please set them free, dear Lord, and welcome them into Your family so that they become true children of Your Father. May I have the humility and faith I need to help bring forth this abundance of grace for others.
Thank You for rescuing me from the darkness I walked in and putting me on solid ground and blessing me with a wife that stands by my side as we grow together in You. For blessing me with each of mine. For walking with us. Teaching, guiding and protecting us. Jesus, I trust in You. I love You, I am sorry, forgive me. Hear my prayers!

Do you not realize that everything
that goes into a person from outside cannot defile,
since it enters not the heart but the stomach
and passes out into the latrine?”
(Thus he declared all foods clean.)
“But what comes out of the man, that is what defiles him.
From within the man, from his heart,
come evil thoughts, unchastity, theft, murder,
adultery, greed, malice, deceit,
licentiousness, envy, blasphemy, arrogance, folly.

As I see my sin, give me the grace I need to reject it and to turn to You with all my heart so that I can become a new creation in Your grace and mercy. Purify me!

And on coming from the marketplace
they do not eat without purifying themselves.

"Any support you might have had from me is qorban"’

you allow him to do nothing more for his father or mother.

Help me, mine and Your entire Church to always interiorize our exterior acts of worship so as to give You the glory that is due Your holy name.

The world is full of lies as the evil one does everything possible to separate us from You. His goal is to create doubt and persuade us into compromising our beliefs to get along. Using fear and persecution to intimidate us. But we must be strong and courageous. Stand up to the lies when confronted. Relying on You to give us the words say, and the manner in which to say them.
Continue to walk with me and mine. Teaching and guiding us. Blessing and protecting us.
Thank You for all You do for us. No goes unnoticed.

My healing Lord, I thank You for the spiritual healing You continually offer me, especially through the Sacrament of Reconciliation. I thank You for the forgiveness of my sins on account of You suffering on the Cross. Fill my heart with a greater desire to come to You so as to receive the greatest gift I could ever receive: the forgiveness of my sins. Use me as an example for each of mine. Teach them as You have taught me. Show them the hidden blessings on Your grace and mercy.
For we are all sinners on a journey, with a mission to purify ourselves in Your image through Jesus Christ. Keep us strong, courageous and nourished by faith. Help us persevere in Your name. Jesus, I trust in You.

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, Holy Spirit within me.
Lord, You are the true Light Who dispels every darkness in life. You are the Light of my life and shine brightly for all to see. Help me to see Your light as it shines on others and to glorify You for that gift. And help me and mine to be an instrument of Your light to those who need it the most.
Thank You for walking with me and mine. For reminding us of our true purpose, and teaching and guiding us to recognize those in need and respond as best we can at the moment. Stay ready, staying salty and staying bright for You.

Thank You for blessing us as You do, and for protecting us. For hearing our prayers!
Praying for those who are ill and or facing health issues. For the homeless and addicted. Praying for their healing, recovery, wellness and awakening. Give them the strength they need to make the necessary changes needed for a healthy lifestyle anchored in You.
Remembering all of mine that have passed on to You. The Apostles gathered together with Jesus
and reported all they had done and taught.
He said to them,
"Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while."
People were coming and going in great numbers,
and they had no opportunity even to eat.
So they went off in the boat by themselves to a deserted place.
People saw them leaving and many came to know about it.
They hastened there on foot from all the towns
and arrived at the place before them.

When Jesus disembarked and saw the vast crowd,
his heart was moved with pity for them,
for they were like sheep without a shepherd;

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, Holy Spirit within me.
My generous Lord, You gave of Yourself without reserve. People came to You in their need, and You did not hesitate to serve them out of love. Give me a heart that imitates Your generosity and help me to always say “Yes” to the charitable work to which I am called. May I learn to find great joy in serving others, especially in those unplanned and unexpected circumstances of life. Help me see those in need with Your eyes and heart, not with the skeptical distrustful eyes scared by the world. Leaving the judgment to You.
Jesus, I trust in You to guide and teach me.
Continue to walk with me and mine, finishing the work You have begun in us. Thank You for all Your blessings. For protecting us throughout each day. Teaching us in Your ways and truth.
