Gospel John 6:60-69

Many of the disciples of Jesus who were listening said,
“This saying is hard; who can accept it?”
Since Jesus knew that his disciples were murmuring about this,
he said to them, “Does this shock you?
What if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?
It is the Spirit that gives life, while the flesh is of no avail.
The words I have spoken to you are Spirit and life.
But there are some of you who do not believe.”
Jesus knew from the beginning the ones who would not believe
and the one who would betray him.
And he said, “For this reason I have told you that no one can come to me
unless it is granted him by my Father.”
As a result of this,
many of his disciples returned to their former way of life
and no longer walked with him.

My prayer…

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, thank You for today’s readings and devotions, which along with today’s worship songs focus my mind, body and spirit on You. Your love the source of my hope and faith.
For as Peter answered Jesus in today’s Gospel reading… ‘You have the words of eternal life. I have come to believe and am convinced that You are the Holy One of God.”‘
The world and Your Church is a mess with so many lost souls whom for various reasons have lost faith and no longer believe, but refuse to go away and leave. Instead they seek to destroy everything we cherish from within. Having sold their souls to the evil things for power and the material things of this world. They are corrupt and full of lies, and like the evil one roam around seeking only to destroy and separate; friends, family, homes and most of the Church. Help us Jesus. Help us to stand, out on the armor of God and fight.
Lord, hear our cries, and prayers. Strengthen us for the battles ahead with a pure and discerning heart, focused on You.
Jesus, Mary, I love You, save souls. In Jesus name I pray. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

My prayer…

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, thank You putting on my mind today’s verse. For reminding me to pray without ceasing for discernment of the times. And to always be ready to defend Your Church and my freedom to worship You.
The evil forces are at work trying to use the crisis of the coronavirus to kill Your Church. Show and guide me in what and how to do what’s needed to fight them whenever and wherever needed.
Teach me how to fight while praying for those I’m fighting. For as Jesus said ‘they do not know what they are doing’. For the evil one has taken them over through they selfish desires.
Lord I want to see ‘revival’. Open up the heavens now. Poor out Your blessings.

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, thank You for leading the way. For loving us enough. For each and every blessing.
Now is the time, hear my prayers for a revival that unites the clans. Help us put on Your armor and ready ourselves to fight against the evil forces that seek the separate us from You by taking away the freedoms You have given us. Give us the words when needed to defend our faith, and give courage to the broken-hearted.

[After Jesus had fed the five thousand men, his disciples saw him walking on the sea.]
The next day, the crowd that remained across the sea saw that there had been only one boat there,
and that Jesus had not gone along with his disciples in the boat,
but only his disciples had left.
Other boats came from Tiberias near the place where they had eaten the bread when the Lord gave thanks.

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, thank You today. Each blessing and each of mine.
For all things new… help me and mine to continue to renew our spirit through believing in Jesus. Finding our faith, getting our hope and walking with love.
For the challenges of the world are many. And evil surrounds us. But in Jesus Christ we are protected. Finding discernment for truth, with enough understanding and wisdom for each day.

How Do We Unite the Clans (Christians)

Started with a bang, on target and gripping. But I felt while full of truth about what’s wrong with most churches and more importantly most Christians today. It stopped, short becoming another what’s wrong with Christians.
I’m not saying I know how yet, but I feel we need more what to, to balance all the what’s wrong.
I recommend this book, but I felt let down, after getting my attention in chapter 1, after hanging in there and finishing it, I felt lacking, like something was missing.
