Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, thank You for today. For each blessing and each of mine. For all Your mercy and grace.
In today’s devotion Ephesians urges me to examine carefully how I am living. Sometimes I do this. But often, as you know, I don’t. I just keep running from one thing to another, reacting rather than acting thoughtfully, doing what’s urgent rather than what’s important. Forgive me, Lord, for all the times I live without thoughtfulness or intentionality. Forgive me when I fail to stop and rest.
Today, by your grace, I want to live differently. Help me to stop so that I might look at how I’m living. May your Spirit help me to see clearly how I am living and how I might live even more fully in your grace and for your purposes.
In Jesus name I pray. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Jesus Calling Family Devotional…

For Adults – A RENEWED MIND I AM RENEWING YOUR MIND.

When your thoughts flow freely, they tend to move toward problems. Your focus gets snagged on a given problem, circling round and round it in attempts to gain mastery. Your energy is drained away from other matters through this negative focus. Worst of all, you lose sight of Me. A renewed mind is Presence-focused. Train your mind to seek Me in every moment, every situation. Sometimes you can find Me in your surroundings: a lilting birdsong, a loved one’s smile, golden sunlight. At other times, you must draw inward to find Me. I am always present in your spirit. Seek My Face, speak to Me, and I will light up your mind.

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Romans 12: 2

For kids – A New Way of Thinking

I want to give you a new way of thinking. When you just let your thoughts wander, they tend to wander to your problems. Your mind swirls around and around, trying to solve them. You waste time and energy. Worst of all, your mind is so filled with your problems that you lose sight of Me. Train your mind to look for Me wherever you are. I want your thoughts to be so filled with Me that you lose sight of your problems. I am all around you. Do you see Me? That bird singing, that smile from a friend, that ray of sunshine peeking through the clouds? I send each one your way. That feeling of safety and peace? That’s from Me too. I’m always thinking about you. So think about Me.
