LEARN TO LAUGH at yourself more freely. Don’t take yourself or your circumstances so seriously. Relax and know that I am God with you. When you desire My will above all else, life becomes much less threatening. Stop trying to monitor My responsibilities—things that are beyond your control. Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, thank You for this day You have made. For each blessing. For each of mine. I wake with my mind full of anxiety over all that needs to get done today. As always when I wake up early I seek Your presence, Your peace. And the comfort I get from asking You to hold me. I pray, I listen to ‘Scripture Lullabies’. Knowing that I must put my thoughts and anxiousness at Your feet, and take Your yoke. Remembering what You have taught me. But I know, my anxiety isn’t just mine, it’s about the anxiety of some of mine who don’t always turn to You. Help me teach them what You have taught me. Give me the words, expressions that shown I’m walking yoked to You. Teach them too through me. In Jesus name I pray. The Beatitudes initially seem to be merely soothing and beautiful precepts for overly spiritual and seemingly useless people, but of very little practical use in the rigid, fast-paced workdays of the world in which we live. We soon find, however, that the Beatitudes contain the “dynamite” of the Holy Spirit. And they “explode” when the circumstances of our lives cause them to do so.
