My Daily Prayers and Readings for 02/08/2014

[ Love for Enemies ] “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

Lord God, through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You so that You will create a pure heart within me , and renew a steadfast spirit for my one walk in and with You today. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Praying in the name of Jesus on all occasions for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 02/06/2014

Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any one walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.

Abba Father through the Holy Spirit I set out today to walk in Your light. I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert to always pray for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 01/25/2014

This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 01/22/2014

Jesus called them together and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave.

Jesus, today may my life reflect Your salvation and may my leadership reflect Your call to servant leadership. I pray in Your name and for Your kingdom’s sake. Create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me for my one walk in and with You. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying on all occasions for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and for those You place in my path. My Daily Prayers and Readings for 01/16/2014

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.

Lord God, help me to relate to and serve others in humility, following Your example. Create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Help me to stay strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remind me that even if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.

Lord God, You are my Maker, my Redeemer, my Sustainer, my Wisdom. You have given me this day for Your purposes. Regardless of what the coming hours hold, in this moment, I bow before You in worship, I commit this day to You, and I entrust myself into Your care.1 Through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For my one walk in and with You today. As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love.
