My Daily Prayers and Readings for 12/10/2013

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Lord God, I humble myself before You in this moment, declaring that I am dependent on Your wisdom and strength and power to meet every challenge facing me. Thank You for taking my anxiety and giving me confidence. May You be exalted in my life and in the eyes of others.1 Through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me for my one walk in and with You today. As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert to always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

Abba Father through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For my one walk in and with You today, as a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert to always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power.

Lord God, thank You for opportunities to share with others about You and the good news of Jesus Christ. Open my eyes to opportunities to tell Your story to those around me, especially the children and young adults whom You have placed in my life.1 Through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For my one walk in and with You. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Knowing that if I get nothing else done this day, I must spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Lord God, let the words of our mouths always be true and full of grace. May our words bring healing and encouragement and draw us closer together. Create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For my one walk in and with You today. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

Lord, when the days are long and I don’t see change happening, remind me to stay faithful to You and to following Jesus’ model of leadership. Give me words of wisdom to speak; keep me from speaking out of frustration. Weed out anything in my life that contradicts Your message of humility, confidence, and serving in Jesus’ name.1 Keep my heart pure, and my spirit steadfast for my one walk with You. As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying through the Spirit on all occasions for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert to always praying for those You place in my path. My speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power . . .

Lord God through Jesus I must deliberately give my life to You, so that You can use me as Your hands and His feet. It is not always easy, and I must remain conscious in the now of each moment not to give way to the ways under the sun, but instead follow the Son.1 With a pure heart, and a steadfast spirit I prepare for my one walk in and with You today. As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, I choose to spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. With eyes of faith. Praying through the Spirit on all occasions for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert to always pray for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
