My Daily Prayers and Readings for 10/01/2013

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Jesus, thank You for inviting me to bring my troubles to You. Thank You for entering into the ups and downs of this world. I give You all the things I’ve been trying to carry on my own: my sin, my stress, my worry. Thank You for taking them and giving me peace in exchange. Be the center of my life.1 Create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For my one walk in and with You today, as a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Putting my love for You and others first, as You love me. Praying without ceasing in the Spirit for me and mine to fulfill Your will, and for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 09/30/2013

And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins.

Lord God through the Holy Spirit and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You each morning asking that You will renew a steadfast spirit, and create a pure heart within me. Looking to Your Word for peace, strength and wisdom for my one walk with You. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power, covered in Your armor. (r or l) Knowing that if I get nothing else done this day, I must spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying through the Spirit in each moment for me and mine to fulfill Your will. Being alert to always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

So I can listen for and then answer Your call 1 to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. For my one walk in and with You today. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power and (r or l) covered in Your armor. Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, I must spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in the Spirit for me and mine to fulfill Your will. Being alert to always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that when I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. And God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you:

Whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two

For my one walk in and with You today. So that when someone ‘compels me to go one mile, I will be ready and able to go with him two’. As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power, covered by Your armor. (r or l) Knowing that if I get nothing else done this day, I need to spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying without ceasing for me and mine to fulfill Your will for us. Staying alert to pray for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
