Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.

Jesus, I hear Your call to action and Your promise of blessing. This is the path, not the path of destruction, but the path of blessing, of receiving life and giving life to others. And it all hinges on moving from the realm of possibility into the realm of action and reality. Today, open my eyes to all the opportunities to live, love and lead like You, and help me to live what I say I believe. In Your name I pray, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 04/24/2013

For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.

Abba Father through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For my one walk in and with You today, as a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power.(r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert and always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?

If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.

If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things.

Jesus, I want to be like You. I want to be freed from lingering traces of pride or fear, to be transformed by You and Your unconditional love. I want to grow up to be like You, and to humbly, confidently, love others. Make me like You, so that I reveal You to others, especially as I meet challenging people and situations I encounter each day. I pray in Your name, Amen.

Abba Father like a wise and loving father, You provide the wisdom I need to chart my course throughout my life and throughout each day. Thank You! Thank You for the Holy Spirit who guides me, thank You for Scripture that provides the wisdom I need. Thank You for the privilege of prayer to keep me in tune with You. Remind me to follow Jesus moment-by-moment today. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.
