My Daily Prayers and Readings for 03/08/2013

Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

< >< My Prayer >< >

Abba Father with a grateful heart and through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within us. For our one walk in and with You today, as channels of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power, by putting on Your full armor by standing firm with the belt of Your truth buckled around our waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with our feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. Taking up the shield of faith, with which we can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one who lurks in each moment waiting to separate us from You. Wearing the helmet of salvation and carrying the sword of the Spirit, which is Your word. Praying in and through the Spirit in the name of Jesus on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert and always praying for those You place in our path. Asking that whenever we speak, words may be given to us, so that we will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel.(r or l) Remembering that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

Jesus, thank You for forgiving me! Help me to pass on this gift of grace to others, freely giving them the forgiveness You have poured out on me. You stressed forgiveness time and again, living a life of ongoing forgiveness of others. I am a recipient and beneficiary of Your choice to forgive. May I forgive others as freely as You have forgiven me. Help me to love and forgive like You today.1 Through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within us. For our one walk in and with You today, as channels of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. My Daily Prayers and Readings for 03/06/2013

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

Jesus, I am grateful for Your faith in me as Your witness and servant. May I humbly and confidently serve You today, knowing that You know who I am, and are making me into who You know I can be.1 Through the Holy Spirit within me I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me for my one walk in and with You today. As channels of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power, through Your Words and teachings. Taking up the shield of faith, with which I can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one who lurks in each moment waiting to separate me from You. Praying in through the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert and always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel.(r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. This I pray, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

Talk to us, help us feel Your presence through Your living Word. For it is the source of our one walk in and with You today. As channels of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power, by putting on Your full armor, by standing firm with the belt of Your truth buckled around our waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with our feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. Taking up the shield of faith, with which we can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Putting on the helmet of salvation and taking the sword of the Spirit, which is Your word. Praying in through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Renew my eagerness to work with you in building a better world, so that my friends may hear your gospel of peace and justice. One walk in and with You today, as channels of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power, by putting on Your full armor by standing firm with the belt of Your truth buckled around our waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with our feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
