My Daily Prayers and Readings for 01/28/2013

“For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he does not have.”

Abba Father thank You for putting us on earth for something bigger and more meaningful than our own comfort or happiness. Create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with You. Keep me ready. Show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Help me be strong in You and Your almighty power, putting on Your full armor by standing firm with the belt of Your truth buckled around my waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with my feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, taking up the shield of faith, with which I can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Taking the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your word. And praying in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. With this in mind, being alert and always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel.(r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Therefore put on the full armor of God,

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 01/27/2013

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Abba Father I come to You through the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ who lives within me so that You will create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with You. So that You will help me be strong in You and Your almighty power, putting on Your full armor by standing firm with the belt of Your truth buckled around my waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with my feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, taking up the shield of faith, with which I can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one who lurks in each moment waiting to separate me from You. Taking the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your word. And praying in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. With this in mind, being alert and always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel.(r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

Abba Father I come to You through the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ who lives within me so that You will create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with You. So that You will help me see with eyes of faith. Beyond the weaknesses what we all have under the sun, to the oneness that is in the Son. Let me see purity we become in him, and judge for I can never know the crosses others carry within them. Show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with everyone. And whenever I speak, let words be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel.(r or l) Standing strong in You and Your almighty power, putting on Your full armor by standing firm with the belt of Your truth buckled around my waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with my feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, taking up the shield of faith, with which I can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one who lurks in each moment waiting to separate me from You. I will look to see what he will say to me. Then the LORD replied, “Write down the revelation.”

I look to You waiting to hear what You have to say to me. I write down what I feel and hear in these daily prayers.1 Hoping that You will show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Asking You will help me be strong in You and Your almighty power, putting on Your full armor by standing firm with the belt of Your truth buckled around my waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with my feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, taking up the shield of faith, with which I can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.

Abba Father I don’t want my message to be just words, true though they might be. I want others to see a living, breathing example of Your Spirit’s power to transform lives in me. May they come into contact with You, Lord Jesus, and discover the difference You can make in their lives.1 This is why I come to You through the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ who lives within me so that You will create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with You. So that You will show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

Jesus, who can I love today as You loved me? I know the opportunities will be all around me. Open my eyes and show me how I can follow Your example, giving myself away as You did, and walking in love today.1 Create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with You. Show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Help me be strong in You and Your almighty power, putting on Your full armor by standing firm with the belt of Your truth buckled around my waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with my feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, taking up the shield of faith, with which I can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. “Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.

Abba Father I awake and look to You. For when I look to You my difficulties, trials, and worries about tomorrow all vanish.1 I look to You through the Holy Spirit and in the name of Jesus Christ who lives within me ask that You create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with You. I ask that You give me the energy and stamina, knowledge and wisdom to make the right decisions. That You will show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. That You will help me be strong in You and Your almighty power, putting on Your full armor by standing firm with the belt of Your truth buckled around my waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with my feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, taking up the shield of faith, with which I can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Taking the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your word.
