One Walk

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 02/25/2012

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

Abba Father help me produce the fruit of the Spirit – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. In the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Make me a channel of Your peace, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Do not those who plot evil go astray? But those who plan what is good find love and faithfulness.

Abba Father ‘when I am tempted to fear, remind me of who You are, and cause me to tremble at Your greatness. I honor You today, and ask that You would accomplish Your purposes through my life’ in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray. Create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. Make me a channel of Your peace, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 02/21/2012

The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Abba Father ‘I come, desiring time with You. I am humbled and grateful that You invite me into Your presence. As I quiet myself before You now, I worship You. I seek Your face. As I spend time in Your presence, tune my ears to hear You speak. Shape my heart and my thoughts. Give me the wisdom I need for what is in front of me. Help me to lead like Jesus.’ In the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus.
