Gospel Matthew 10:1-7

Jesus summoned his Twelve disciples
and gave them authority over unclean spirits to drive them out
and to cure every disease and every illness.
The names of the Twelve Apostles are these:
first, Simon called Peter, and his brother Andrew;
James, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John;
Philip and Bartholomew,
Thomas and Matthew the tax collector;
James, the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddeus;
Simon the Cananean, and Judas Iscariot
who betrayed Jesus.
Jesus sent out these Twelve after instructing them thus,
“Do not go into pagan territory or enter a Samaritan town.
Go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
As you go, make this proclamation: ‘The Kingdom of heaven is at hand.’”

My prayer…

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, thank You today’s devotions, readings and Gospel. Help us seek Your face always, through prayer and thanksgiving.
By seeking Your face we are reminded of all Your blessings. Within each blessing we are reminded of Your presence and almighty power. Your grace and mercy. Your love. In seeking Your face we find true peace. We find courage.
The evil one seems to bringing violence and hate to our front doors. He has infiltrated our Church and government, purchased the souls of to many of our leaders and is has most of our media to use fear to impact our perceptions and thinking.
But we do have warriors for Christ rising up, more each day. I pray for these brave faithful souls. Asking that You protect and guide their hearts.
Jesus I love You, forgive us for failing You and sinning. Help us rise and fight the good fight as You lead us.

Jesus, Mary, I love You, save souls. In Jesus name I pray. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Gospel Matthew 9:32-38

A demoniac who could not speak was brought to Jesus,
and when the demon was driven out the mute man spoke.
The crowds were amazed and said,
“Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel.”
But the Pharisees said,
“He drives out demons by the prince of demons.”
Jesus went around to all the towns and villages,
teaching in their synagogues,
proclaiming the Gospel of the Kingdom,
and curing every disease and illness.
At the sight of the crowds, his heart was moved with pity for them
because they were troubled and abandoned,
like sheep without a shepherd.
Then he said to his disciples,
“The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few;
so ask the master of the harvest
to send out laborers for his harvest.”

Daily Catholic Wisdom…

We have formed, and we must continue to form, associations to safeguard freedom, but let us also persuade Americans to form associations which will safeguard our responsibilities. The bane of democracy is the flight from responsibility on which freedom rests. If America is to continue to be great along the tradition of her Founding Fathers and not betray the Christian traditions, her citizens must release, not their evil inclinations from within, but rather the aspiration for total goodness that God put in their hearts.

Gospel Matthew 9:18-26

While Jesus was speaking, an official came forward,
knelt down before him, and said,
“My daughter has just died.
But come, lay your hand on her, and she will live.”
Jesus rose and followed him, and so did his disciples.
A woman suffering hemorrhages for twelve years came up behind him
and touched the tassel on his cloak.
She said to herself, “If only I can touch his cloak, I shall be cured.”
Jesus turned around and saw her, and said,
“Courage, daughter! Your faith has saved you.”
And from that hour the woman was cured.
When Jesus arrived at the official’s house
and saw the flute players and the crowd who were making a commotion,
he said, “Go away! The girl is not dead but sleeping.”
And they ridiculed him.
When the crowd was put out, he came and took her by the hand,
and the little girl arose.
And news of this spread throughout all that land.

Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will.

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, thank You for today. For the blessing of being born and able to live in this Country, The United States of America. Despite all it’s problems. It is still the Country many come to. Hear my prayer for her, the President, it’s elected officials and all those who serve.
I do believe this Country was formed on the values You try to teach us. And just as each of us sin, this Country has sinned. And just like each of us must fight the evil one, so must this Country fight the evil forces that seek to separate and destroy.
For the battle against Satan is real, and his evil demons have corrupted many a lost souls to lie, kill, enslave others for him. Help us Jesus. May Your precious blood save us from Satan and his demons.
May we stand up and fight in Your name for truth, for freedom. Your truth, the freedom that is ours through Jesus. Hear my prayers.
May Your Spirit dwell in me and mine all the days of our life’s.

Daily Catholic Wisdom…

Christ is the true ‘Lion of Judah.’ The Devil tries to mimic and mock the Lion as an imposter who wants to be like a Messiah. He roars like a lion, making lots of noise like a small dog that barks but only has a small bite. He will try to roar, intimidate, and harass us. But the more we resist him and stand firm, the more the Devil will ultimately surrender and run away.
Fr. Clement Machado
from A Dialogue with an Exorcist

Jesus Calling…

When you worship ME in spirit and truth, you join with choirs of angels who are continually before My throne.
from Jesus Calling
page 195

"Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth."
John 4:23-24

Reading 1 Amos 9:11-15

Thus says the LORD:
On that day I will raise up
the fallen hut of David;
I will wall up its breaches,
raise up its ruins,
and rebuild it as in the days of old,
That they may conquer what is left of Edom
and all the nations that shall bear my name,
say I, the LORD, who will do this.
Yes, days are coming,
says the LORD,
When the plowman shall overtake the reaper,
and the vintager, him who sows the seed;
The juice of grapes shall drip down the mountains,
and all the hills shall run with it.
I will bring about the restoration of my people Israel;
they shall rebuild and inhabit their ruined cities,
Plant vineyards and drink the wine,
set out gardens and eat the fruits.
I will plant them upon their own ground;
never again shall they be plucked
From the land I have given them,
say I, the LORD, your God.

Gospel Matthew 9:14-17

The disciples of John approached Jesus and said,
“Why do we and the Pharisees fast much,
but your disciples do not fast?”
Jesus answered them, “Can the wedding guests mourn
as long as the bridegroom is with them?
The days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them,
and then they will fast.
No one patches an old cloak with a piece of unshrunken cloth,
for its fullness pulls away from the cloak and the tear gets worse.
People do not put new wine into old wineskins.
Otherwise the skins burst, the wine spills out, and the skins are ruined.
Rather, they pour new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved.”

My prayer…

Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, thank You for today. For the blessing of letting me and mine be born and raised in this country. A country I believe founded and based on Your principles even though like each of us, it has often fallen short and sinned against those it was founded to protect.
Hear my prayers for this country. Our President. Protect and continue to guide his heart. Show him the way. Hear my prayers for our elected officials at every level. Who far to often put power, greed and ego above duty. And hide behind false promises. Strengthen and give them the courage needed to lay down their own interest for what’s best for those they serve and their children, grandchildren and their children.
Help each of us the same way. Strengthening and giving us the courage needed to stand up when called and needed, for You and our Country to fight the evil one and his demons who seek to separate and destroy us from You and Your blessings.
Jesus, Mary, I love You, save souls. In Jesus name I pray. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Apostles (Nicene) Creed

I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come.
Amen.

Lords Prayer

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary

Hail Mary full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed are thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory be to the Father

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.

Gospel John 20:24-29

Thomas, called Didymus, one of the Twelve,
was not with them when Jesus came.
So the other disciples said to him, “We have seen the Lord.”
But Thomas said to them,
“Unless I see the mark of the nails in his hands
and put my finger into the nailmarks
and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”
Now a week later his disciples were again inside
and Thomas was with them.
Jesus came, although the doors were locked,
and stood in their midst and said, “Peace be with you.”
Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and see my hands,
and bring your hand and put it into my side,
and do not be unbelieving, but believe.”
Thomas answered and said to him, “My Lord and my God!”
Jesus said to him, “Have you come to believe because you have seen me?
Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.”
