When Jesus came down from the mountain, great crowds followed him.
And then a leper approached, did him homage, and said,
“Lord, if you wish, you can make me clean.”
He stretched out his hand, touched him, and said,
“I will do it. Be made clean.”
His leprosy was cleansed immediately.
Then Jesus said to him, “See that you tell no one,
but go show yourself to the priest,
and offer the gift that Moses prescribed;
that will be proof for them.”

My prayer…
Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, thank You for the blessing of worship music, for today’s readings and Gospel. I am inspired and lifted up as I start my day with You. Praying for me and mine, I can’t help but think of my failings as I reflect on the reading and all that’s going on in the world today. All the what if questions flood my mind.
So like the leper I ask ‘Lord, if you wish, you can make me clean.’ Separate me from the thoughts of guilt, and focus me on Your grace and mercy.
For it is Your grace and mercy that is needed now. For me, for mine, for those lost and those consumed with hate over past sins that cannot be changed, but only forgiven. Help us Jesus, show us Your face.
Come Holy Spirit in kindle in us the fire of Your love.
O my Jesus, have mercy on us. Forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of hell. Take all souls into heaven, especially, those most in need of thy mercy.
Jesus, Mary, I love You, save souls. In Jesus name I pray. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
