Dear God, my Abba Father, Lord Jesus my Savior, thank You for today. For each of mine. For all Your blessings. Especially this weekend which was full of blessings and joy, yet ending as so many recent Sundays in anger and disappointment. Forgive me for even while I surround myself with You, I trip and fall over myself; is it selfishness or pride. Or just as today’s devotion explains my compromising with it, rather than recognizing it and reconciling myself to it. After all, by now I should be able to predict the attack that trips me up.
