One Walk

My OneWalk with Jesus

A thought…
Our God is a God full of wonder. Surround yourself in His word, then watch and listen. And pray without ceasing.

A prayer…
Dear Lord God, Abba Father, Your gifts and blessings don’t go unnoticed. Thank You! Continue to show and teach me to see Your face in everything and everyone. Help me to appreciate the differences in each of us, and to fall on my knees in prayer when I don’t. In Jesus name I pray. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

A verse…

Romans 12:6-7 NLT
In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. If your gift is serving others, serve them well. …

My OneWalk with Jesus

A thought…
Christ is near!

A prayer…
Dear Lord God, Abba Father, Christ be near at either hand. This is my prayer today. Let me know and reflect Christ’s presence in my life, Christ’s closeness to me in every moment of this day, and let me welcome that presence with an open heart. In Jesus name I pray. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Prayer from today’s pray as you go.

A devotion…
REFRAMING JESUS-From the Jesus Centered Bible
EPHESIANS 3:17-19—YOU ARE DEEPLY, TRULY, POWERFULLY LOVED
We live in a broken world. Spend five minutes watching the news and you’ll get all the pain and brokenness your soul can handle. And we know, too well, that followers of Jesus aren’t protected from the pain around us. Too easily, our hearts can become heavy and burdened by the weight of sadness, grief, anxiety, isolation, and illness. In his letter to the Christ-followers at Ephesus, Paul writes to a church that he helped plant. Life wasn’t any less complicated for them as it is for us, so Paul writes to encourage them in their pursuit of Jesus—to hang in there even when the brokenness makes them feel hopeless. Paul paints a powerful word picture, asking us to consider the biggest things we can imagine—something like the ocean or the distance to the moon or a cross-country highway. Paul says that God’s love for us is deeper than any ocean, longer than any highway, and farther than a trip to the moon and back. And Jesus is all the proof we need of that enormous love. In our dark and heavy places, rest comes when we embrace the truth that we are loved beyond anything our minds can measure.

My OneWalk with the Son, under the sun.

A thought…
My OneWalk with Jesus Christ is about walking as one with Him. In His presence, at all times. So present that I talk to Him in every moment. No matter what. For He already knows everything about me. It’s about me knowing what He wants me to do about it. Being so rooted in Him that the desires for the things of this world and their influence on me disappears into His arms as He holds me and mine close.

A prayer…
Dear Lord God, Abba Father, Jesus my Savior. Today’s devotion, reading, and worship songs once again shows me Your presence. And what You want to tell me or remind me. Thank You for always being there. For watching over me and mine, as we wrestle with our walk under the sun. In world that we are in but not of. O that You would continue to bless us, keeping us from evil and causing pain. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

A thought…
True trust in God is stepping out, when You have no idea what to expect; and with nothing more than the faith that He will provide what You need.

A prayer…
Dear Lord God, Abba Father, Jesus my Savior. As unworthy as I know I am, I also know that You use all things for Your glory. So here I am Lord, use me. Whether with Your molder’s touch or sculpture’s chisel, shape me into what I need to be to serve Your first and above all. Give me enough understanding and wisdom for this day. And lead me back at days end to where I start, with You. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit; as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

My prayer…
Dear Lord God, Abba Father, Jesus my Savior. Guide me, keep my mind and heart open to Your Spirit within me. Teach me how to us the gifts You have given me. Use me to awaken mine and others, as I fight the battles this day will bring. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

Paul does not mince his words here: he’s giving us a warning, so he wants the warning to be clear. He contrasts – starkly – the “works of the flesh” with the “fruit of the Spirit”.
