Words written in red; Words of Jesus
Another parable he put before them, saying, "The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. So when the plants came up and bore grain, then the weeds appeared also. And the servants of the householder came and said to him, `Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then has it weeds?’ He said to them, `An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, `Then do you want us to go and gather them?’ But he said, `No; lest in gathering the weeds you root up the wheat along with them. Let both grow together until the harvest; and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, Gather the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn.’"
All this Jesus said to the crowds in parables; indeed he said nothing to them without a parable. This was to fulfil what was spoken by the prophet: "I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter what has been hidden since the foundation of the world."
Then he left the crowds and went into the house. And his disciples came to him, saying, "Explain to us the parable of the weeds of the field." He answered, "He who sows the good seed is the Son of man; the field is the world, and the good seed means the sons of the kingdom; the weeds are the sons of the evil one, and the enemy who sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the close of the age, and the reapers are angels. Just as the weeds are gathered and burned with fire, so will it be at the close of the age. The Son of man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all evildoers, and throw them into the furnace of fire; there men will weep and gnash their teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.
Matthew 13: 24-30, 34-43

Abba, Father, Lord God, thankful and humble I come to Thee, for as the book of Wisdom teaches ‘thy strength is the source of righteousness’ and ‘that the righteous man must be kind,’ liken my heart to that of Jesus. Let Thy secrets of His parables become the seeds of my faith, hope and love lighting my path and controlling my thoughts assuring that me and mine will be always ready and prepared for Thy harvest. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

13  For neither is there any god besides thee, whose care is for all men, to whom thou shouldst prove that thou hast not judged unjustly;
16  For thy strength is the source of righteousness, and thy sovereignty over all causes thee to spare all.
17  For thou dost show thy strength when men doubt the completeness of thy power, and dost rebuke any insolence among those who know it.
18  Thou who art sovereign in strength dost judge with mildness, and with great forbearance thou dost govern us; for thou hast power to act whenever thou dost choose.
19  Through such works thou has taught thy people that the righteous man must be kind, and thou hast filled thy sons with good hope, because thou givest repentance for sins.
Psalm 86:5-6, 9-10, 15-16
5  For thou, O Lord, art good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call on thee.
6  Give ear, O LORD, to my prayer; hearken to my cry of supplication.
9  All the nations thou hast made shall come and bow down before thee, O Lord, and shall glorify thy name.
10  For thou art great and doest wondrous things, thou alone art God.
15  But thou, O Lord, art a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.
16  Turn to me and take pity on me; give thy strength to thy servant, and save the son of thy handmaid.
Romans 8:26-27
26  Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with sighs too deep for words.
27  And he who searches the hearts of men knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
Matthew 13:24-43

But the Pharisees went out and took counsel against him, how to destroy him.  Jesus, aware of this, withdrew from there. And many followed him, and he healed them all, and ordered them not to make him known.  This was to fulfil what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah: "Behold, my servant whom I have chosen, my beloved with whom my soul is well pleased. I will put my Spirit upon him, and he shall proclaim justice to the Gentiles. He will not wrangle or cry aloud, nor will any one hear his voice in the streets; he will not break a bruised reed or quench a smoldering wick, till he brings justice to victory; and in his name will the Gentiles hope."
But when the Pharisees heard it they said, "It is only by Be-el’zebul, the prince of demons, that this man casts out demons."  Knowing their thoughts, he said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will stand; and if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then will his kingdom stand?  And if I cast out demons by Be-el’zebul, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges.  But if it is by the Spirit of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.

Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.  And whoever says a word against the Son of man will be forgiven; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.  "Either make the tree good, and its fruit good; or make the tree bad, and its fruit bad; for the tree is known by its fruit.  You brood of vipers! how can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.  The good man out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil man out of his evil treasure brings forth evil.

Were the whole world to abandon you…serviam! I will serve you Lord.

Abba, Father, Lord God, thankful for all Your blessings, for Your Words that provide insight into Your truths and secrets; so deep, so complicated and so perplexing, yet so simple. Is it my nature that complicates and is perplexed making it hard for me to do what is simple and the nature of my true source, or is it simply Your purpose and part of the process of repentance and purification to challenge me to keep seeking that true source until my nature is replace by my that source. I know that it is through Jesus and His teachings in the Spirit that I will find the answer or what I need to keep seeking for then in seeking I will do Your will and with each reading, prayer, thought and moment find Your light within me growing brighter to more clearly light my path and shine from within me to be visible by others, most of all my love ones so we will be united with You through Jesus in the Spirit for eternity. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Words written in red; Words of Jesus
At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the sabbath; his disciples were hungry, and they began to pluck heads of grain and to eat. But when the Pharisees saw it, they said to him, "Look, your disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on the sabbath."  He said to them, "Have you not read what David did, when he was hungry, and those who were with him: how he entered the house of God and ate the bread of the Presence, which it was not lawful for him to eat nor for those who were with him, but only for the priests?  Or have you not read in the law how on the sabbath the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are guiltless? I tell you, something greater than the temple is here. And if you had known what this means, `I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the guiltless. For the Son of man is lord of the sabbath."

Matthew 12: 1 – 8

Faith is not a wish to believe or a will to believe something contrary to reason. Faith is not living as if something were true. Faith is the acceptance of a truth based on the authority of God’s revelation, as manifested in the Church and in Scripture.

Abba, Father, Lord God, thankful for Your blessings and presence I ask Your special guidance over these next few days. Liken my heart to that of Jesus and let my thoughts, words and actions be guided by what is best for others first, according to Your will. Help me to die to myself, my hurts, my pains and my pride so that I will be free to give what I receive only from You through Jesus in the Spirit, unconditional love, understanding and forgiveness. Today’s readings speak to me in terms of walking righteously, power of prayer, the reality of our passing from under the sun, but most of all Jesus speaks to me in His words and through the words of Bishop Sheen. For in Jesus presence we are called and expected to be greater to rise above the ways under the sun which is the source of our human nature to become filled with His Spirit who through Jesus who is one with You we can become one with You if only for moments. For in these moments we find our salt and shine brightest for You Lord. After all You are our source and no one can deny that everyone seeks their higher source because they know the source under the sun cannot be all there is, everyone knows there has to be more; but can we accept that which is before us, ‘Faith is the acceptance of a truth based on the authority of God’s revelation, as manifested in the Church and in Scripture’; Jesus Christ and Your words has spoken through the Prophets and Saints. For it is a living words which speaks to us each individually, and while we are unit through the Spirit in Jesus with You, You work differently and reveal Your truths according to our own unique needs according to You will and purpose for us under the sun. Always preparing and having us practice that which we will need and us when we pass on to You for eternity. So knowing I cannot change yesterday, nor control tomorrow, I take my roles under the sun most seriously and look to You for guidance as I begin my walk today. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

Abba, Father, Lord God, thankful and humbled I come to You seeking Your Word, asking for Your continued mercy and grace. O that You would bless me and mine, that You would find the way to enlarge our territory as a house that follows Your ways, heeds Your Word and worships You in the Trinity of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, that Your hand will be with us to keep us from evil and from causing any pain, helping each of us to govern and control our passions while seeking Your will and accepting that which we cannot change, while having the courage to change that which we can change. O Lord as the Prophet Isaiah proclaims in today’s reading from 26:9 ‘My soul yearns for thee in the night, my spirit within me earnestly seeks thee. For when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.‘ Even though I stumble, even though I fall, I know You are there to lift me up and catch me from falling further, and the fall will be as long as it takes for me to reach for Thee, and die to myself so I can rise with Jesus. These things I know, these things I believe, help be and do these things; so I may walk with the righteous and be a light to You. In the name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Take caution to see priests only as the dispensers of the Blood of the humble, Immaculate Lamb and overlook the faults you may see in them. A priest is a man and therefore fallible and capable of making mistakes, but this does not prevent him from being the Annointed of the Lord, marked forever with the indelible sign and having the power to consecrate the Body of Christ and administer the sacraments and to preach to the people in the name of God.
— St. Catherine of Siena

Abba, Father, Lord God, who art in heaven hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Audio books I am listening to and other books or readings I am reading:
The Art of Presence By: Eckhart Tolle In The Art of Presence, Eckhart guides you through seven hours of transformational insights that allow "presence to naturally arise" in you. With his one-of-a-kind instruction, you will learn how to ground yourself in the vibrancy of your "inner body" while simultaneously breaking free from the illusion of separation from the outside world.
The Brain That Changes Itself: Personal Triumphs from the Frontiers of Brain Science (Unabridged) By: Norman Doidge The discovery that our thoughts can change the structure and function of our brains – even into old age – is the most important breakthrough in neuroscience in four centuries.
The Shack Mackenzie Allen Philips’ youngest daughter, Missy, has been abducted during a family vacation and evidence that she may have been brutally murdered is found in an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Four years later in the midst of his Great Sadness, Mack receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him back to that shack for a weekend. Against his better judgment he arrives at the shack on a wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare. What he finds there will change Mack’s world forever. In a world where religion seems to grow increasingly irrelevant "The Shack" wrestles with the timeless question, "Where is God in a world so filled with unspeakable pain?" The answers Mack gets will astound you and perhaps transform you as much as it did him. You’ll want everyone you know to read this book!
