Dear Lord God, Abba Father, Jesus my Savior. I’m counting every blessing, knowing that a greatful heart helps nurture and guard my heart. For a grateful heart and an a attitude of gratitude is good for the spirit. Under the sun, the pressure is on the next moment, at the expense of the now moment. This can steel our joy and starve our hearts. Shift our focus from You and us. O Jesus that You would liken my heart to Yours. Create in me and mine a grateful heart that acknowledges and counts every blessing. Fully aware of Your presence and knowledge that You are our source of source, and everything we need and want is ours in and with You. I’m sorry, forgive me, I love You, thank You. Amen

Dear Lord God, Abba Father, Jesus my Savior. On my own I’m weak, insecure, anxious, easily angered and worrisome. Blown about by the evil ways under the sun and concerns and problems of mine. But in and with You I’m am enough; strong enough, confident enough, content enough, patient enough and peaceful enough. Anchored by faith, hope and love. For when I stay focused on You, I know You are there for me and mine. And You will never place us in or give us anything we can’t handle with You by our side. Thank You, I love You, I’m sorry, forgive me. Amen

Prayer is not simply getting things from God— that is only the most elementary kind of prayer. Prayer is coming into perfect fellowship and oneness with God. If the Son of God has been formed in us through regeneration, then He will continue to press on beyond our common sense and will change our attitude about the things for which we pray.

Knowing I’m not worthy on my own, but in and with Jesus I am able to. To keep getting up after I fall and fail You. To stand in Your love. To pray for Your blessings for mine and theirs. You know it all as I think it and before I write it. So why come to You, why pray. I need to know what You want me to do. You already know I don’t know. I need to know Your will, You already know mine. I need to know and feel I’m not causing the pain within mine. I need to know and feel You are helping them heal, forgive and forget the hurt I have brought upon them. I need to know I feel Your presence. Hear me calling. Find me, rescue me and mine from ourselves. Amen
