My Daily Prayers and Readings for 01/11/2014

As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.

Abba Father I’m reminded that You rested after creation, and Jesus was so tired He slept while a storm raged around Him. Remind me to call out to You when I am exhausted, to rest in You, and experience restoration.1 To come to You so that You can create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For my one walk is in and with You. As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done, I must spend each moment loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

But you, be self-possessed in all circumstances; put up with hardship; perform the work of an evangelist; fulfill your ministry.

Abba Father through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For my one walk in and with You today. With a heart of love to do good work, to seek Your Kingdom above all else, to be Jesus to those I meet. A channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Those who give to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to them receive many curses.

Abba Father through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Help me to remember that if I get nothing else done this day, I need to spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Praying without ceasing for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

The Lord’s light penetrates the human spirit, exposing every hidden motive.

Abba Father search me with Your light, expose my motives, even those I hide from others. Examine my heart and mind and behavior. Remind me of Your call to servant leadership. Transform me so that I can lead like Jesus.1 Create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For my one walk in and with You today, as a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and fill me with forgiveness and love. Help me to stay strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. Keep my decrees and laws, for the person who obeys them will live by them. I am the Lord.

Abba Father I confess my tendency to wander from Your ways. Forgive me, and create Your heart within me, a heart that longs to hear and obey your commands. May I find life in obedience, and create an environment where others find life through my obedience.1 For my one walk in and with You today, as a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and for those You place in my path. My Daily Prayers and Readings for 01/06/2014

Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Abba Father help to “lay aside every encumbrance.” And to “run with endurance the race that is set before me.”1 Create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For my one walk in and with You today. As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you girded yourself and walked where you would; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish to go.”

Abba Father no matter what changes You make in me, never let me rely on them. Instead build only on a Person, the Lord Jesus Christ, and on the Spirit He gives me.1 For through the Holy Spirit within me and only in His name, can I come to You so that You can create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For only in Jesus through the Holy Spirit is my one walk in and with You possible. To staying strong in You and Your almighty power (r or l) I must stay focused on Him and practice His presence in each moment. Remembering that if I get nothing else done, I need spend each moment loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying through the Spirit and in His name for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
