My Daily Prayers and Readings for 10/22/2013

I declared that the dead, who had already died, are happier than the living, who are still alive.

< >< My Prayer >< >

Abba Father I praise You in the morning and cry out to You throughout the day. I fearlessly approaching Your throne of grace and bring You all my doubts, distress, and hard questions.1 For I know only in You can I find what I need and seek. Only You can create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For my one walk in and with You. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying without ceasing for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Always praying for those You place and remove from my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

I desire to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart.”

Abba Father I pray without ceasing through the Spirit for me and mine to fulfill Your will. I come to You each morning so You can create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

For when I am weak, then I am strong.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 10/20/2013

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Abba Father, how grateful I am that You accept me where I am. You can use every experience of my life. Teach me to find hope in You. Make me an effective vessel through whom others will find You as their Savior.1 Give me a pure heart, and a steadfast spirit for my one walk in and with You. As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. I man after Your own heart. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Covered in Your armor. Knowing that if I get nothing else done each day, I must spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. I must pray without ceasing through the Spirit for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and for those You place in my path. And whenever I speak, I must look to You, so words may be given to me, so that I can fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

… Ezra came up from Babylon. He was a teacher well versed in the Law of Moses, which the LORD, the God of Israel, had given. The king had granted him everything he asked, for the hand of the LORD his God was on him.

Lord God, I exalt You as my source of source, the influence that I possess. Make me a humble steward of Your gifts. May I be quick to point to You as the reason for my success.1 Through the Holy Spirit create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. For my one walk in and with You today, as a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in the name of Jesus for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. My Daily Prayers and Readings for 10/18/2013

How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever?

How long will you hide your face from me?

How long must I wrestle with my thoughts

and day after day have sorrow in my heart?

How long will my enemy triumph over me?

Look on me and answer, Lord my God.

Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death,

and my enemy will say, “I have overcome him,”

and my foes will rejoice when I fall.

But I trust in your unfailing love;

my heart rejoices in your salvation.

I will sing the Lord’s praise,

for he has been good to me.

Lord God, my source of source. How long? Today’s devotion and reading from Psalm is a reflection of my thoughts. Like David, I cry out as an expression of disappointment, combined with confident affirmation of trust in You.1 And like David help keep me a man after Your own heart. A heart likened to Jesus’ with a steadfast spirit. For my one walk in and with You, as a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in the Spirit in the now of each moment for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert to always pray for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. Then the peoples around them set out to discourage the people of Judah and make them afraid to go on building. They bribed officials to work against them and frustrate their plans during the entire reign of Cyrus king of Persia and down to the reign of Darius king of Persia.

Lord God You know the opposition and discouragement that I face. You are my hope and strength. Re-energize me as I turn to You. Accomplish Your purpose,1 in and through me. Create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For my one walk in and with You today. As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death!

Abba Father it surprises me how easily I am tempted to return to the way of life I left behind when I went from believing to following Jesus. But here alone with You I am able to see the trap I create by the nostalgia and whitewashing of the “things I am now ashamed of.1 Through the Holy Spirit as You create a pure heart, I see the past in its proper perspective; and with a renewed steadfast spirit continue on the narrow path I have chosen. One walk in and with You, as a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Knowing that even if I get nothing else done this day, I must spend it loving You and others first, as You love me.
