My Daily Prayers and Readings for 12/21/2013

At daybreak, Jesus went out to a solitary place. The people were looking for him and when they came to where he was, they tried to keep him from leaving them. But he said, “I must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because that is why I was sent.”

Lord Jesus, cure me of the tendency to allow busy-ness to shape my priorities. Focus me on what You want me to do. Create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me for my one walk in and with You today. As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in Your name on all occasions for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert to always pray for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 12/20/2013

Be still and know that I am God.

Lord God through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For my one walk in and with You today, as a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert to always pray for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 12/19/2013

Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.

Lord Jesus, move my thoughts and motivations into action. Let me reflect Your servant’s heart today.1 Create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For my one walk in and with You today, as a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you… take only ways that are firm. Do not swerve to the right or left; keep your foot from evil.

Abba Father through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. Finding words that I can use with 100% fidelity in comforting those who ask for prayers. Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Staying alert to always pray for those You place in my path. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 12/14/2013

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled . . .

Abba Father through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For for it is from here with You that I am at peace. The kind of peace that I hope to take with me on my one walk in and with You today. As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Reflecting Your presence in me and the attitude of gratitude that the peace You give me creates. Free from the troubles and worries under the Sun because of the Son. Full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Knowing that if I can spend this day loving You and others first, as You love me, first. Then it doesn’t matter if I get anything else done. Except to keep praying for me and mine to fulfill Your will. And to pray for those You place in my path. While asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 12/13/2013

. . . that they may be one just as We are one . . .

Lord Jesus, oh that I could walk in oneness in with You, just as You and the Father are one. One walk, surrendering to You in the now of each moment and in the reflection back on each moment. Turning to You when things go well and when things go wrong. In good times and bad times. When I do right and when I do wrong. Knowing that only through You can I create and maintain a pure heart, and keep a steadfast spirit within me for my one walk. So I pray without ceasing for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. And if not in the moment, after it, You will guide me back to oneness, whenever I let my actions or circumstances separate me from you. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
