My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/26/2012

[Faith in Action] Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

Abba Father to walk by faith with eyes of faith is what practice. In confidence, overcoming doubt through death of self. Replacing what I have leanred under the sun with the teachings of Your Son. Starting each day asking in His name, the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit that You create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for one walk in and with Jesus. As a channel of Your peace and love, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/25/2012

I will hasten and not delay to obey your commands.

Abba Father today’s verse is far too often easier said than done under the sun. Overcoming our fallen nature and all the distractions and temptations the world under the sun throws at us, takes desire and practice. The kind of desire that we feel when we are in love, all consuming and engulfing love. The love that drives and motivates us to practice Your presence in the now of every moment. To ask You over and over again in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within us through the Holy Spirit to create in us a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within us, for one walk in and with Jesus. To die to ourselves in order to become a channel of Your peace and love. To always standing ready having girded our waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which we will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. I know no other way! So I ask that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of this walk and Your will, keeping us from evil and pain. Reminding us in the now of the moment that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/24/2012

Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely, who conduct their affairs with justice.

Abba Father the days aren’t as long and the hours as many, but the busyness and hecticness seems to be never ending. Is it as simple as the evil one trying to stop me from being with You in these quiet moments each day. Or am I lacking discipline. Either way the fight is the same. For without You I am nothing and cannot have peace and clarity to my walk. I do know while I may not be able to have my quiet time each morning with You, I do practice Your presence throughout the day in the now of the moment, focus on producing the fruit of the Spirit. And I always ask in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit that You create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Help prepare me to be a channel of Your peace and love, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Abba Father life under the sun corrupts us, given our fallen nature we must continually fight the temptations that surround, keeping the heart and mind of a child. Remembering and reflecting on the thoughts and dreams we had before the world under the sun corrupted us. Asking in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within us through the Holy Spirit that You create in us a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within us, for our one walk in and with Jesus. Humbling ourselves before You so that we may be a channel of Your peace and love. Standing having girded our waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which we will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless us in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/22/2012

“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

Abba Father in today’s verse Jesus ask the question we must all answer. ‘Who do you say I am?’ Throughout the stages of our walk under the sun, no matter the state we find ourselves in, we must find continuity in change. For me that is in and through Jesus. In Jesus I find belief without knowing, faith. Because of Him I can dream without reason, hope. Through Him I can love unconditionally. In Jesus I find reason in the Holy Trinity without understanding. I find all this when I allow You to create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, and I keep it when I walk as one in and with Jesus. I must pray without ceasing, and I must continually practice being a channel of Your peace and love, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/21/2012

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

Abba Father, practicing Your presence is how I want to walk. As one, so in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for that one walk in and with Jesus today. Make me a channel of Your peace and love, dying to myself in the now of the moment because I stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. I humbly ask that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; lay Your healing hand upon my Ricki. Comfort and heal him in Jesus’ name. We need another miracle. Remind us daily that if we get nothing else done, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/20/2012

“Abba! Father! All things are possible for You; remove this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You will.”

Abba Father my mind is filled with worry and anxiousness for my boy today, as I know he too is anxious and even fearful of what awaits him. Hold him close, give him the courage and strength to face the pain he must endure to get better. Use this time of pain and suffering to bring him closer to You. Take him by the hand and guide him if You must, but make Your presence known to him. I pray with him for a quick and full recovery, but not as we might will, but as You will. Just make Your will known to him, fill him with Your purpose. In the name of Christ Jesus who lives within us through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in us a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within us, for our one walk in and with Jesus today. Make us an example of one filled with the courage and strength of Jesus, standing having girded our waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod our feet with the preparation of His gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which we will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Asking that You bless us today in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
