One Walk

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 09/25/2012

persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may be revealed in our mortal body.

Abba Father today and tomorrow’s verses are ‘beautiful and almost poetic’, but ‘it is one thing to read it as black print on a white page, and it’s another thing entirely to embrace that mind-set when all hell breaks loose against us.’ For me I must start and come back each day to this point in time, the now of the moment with You. Where in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I ask that You would create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. A walk where His reflection can be seen in me. In my eyes, my thoughts, my words and my actions as a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. Always standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always ready to die to myself; over and over to keep You first and the other second, with me third. Overcoming doubt, selfishness, self pity, fear, anger and sin. Asking that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 09/24/2012

So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.

Abba Father ‘thank You for letting me know and then helping me to slow down and reflect on the condition of my heart. In the midst all my thoughts which can get the best of me with all pressures under the sun, it can be easy to start to think that it all depends on me, to forget that You are the One at work in and through me. May You receive the glory today as I refocus on You. In the name of Jesus, who reflected You in all He said and did, I pray’ in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit that You would create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. That You show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. That You help me stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 09/23/2012

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Abba Father I do think I ask what and how more than why and for things. For I know if I ask You will hear me, and if my purpose is Your will then I need You to show me what to do and how to do it. There is no need to ask for anything or question You by asking why, that would only be a distraction to focusing on my purpose and Your will. But I do get weary and in  my weariness face and fight doubt, not in You but in me. So I ask am doing all I should. I am I truly engaged or fooling myself in the wonder of You peaceful shadow. So in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I come to so that You would create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me; the starting point for discernment and my one walk in and with Jesus. For it is from here that You can show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. From here that You help me stopping asking and start acting by standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Knowing that You will continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and that my first priority is to remember through this day that if we get nothing else done, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 09/22/2012

Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.

Abba Father we MUST learn to accept one another, just as You do through Christ Jesus; and in Jesus learn to accept ourselves. For in acceptance there is freedom. Acceptance requires a pure heart, and a steadfast spirit that is free of judgement and hate, and full of love and forgiveness. So like everyday this is when I begin my day, praying that You will create in me a pure heart, and a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. Let others see Your hand working within me, if not by change, by my humble perseverance to be a man after Your Own heart. A man that desires nothing more than to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. Always standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 09/21/2012

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Abba Father we must and I pray that the peace that can only be known with You in Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit be with mine and those on my path and crossing my path this day. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ touch their heart and souls and create a pure heart within them, and renew a steadfast spirit for their one walk in and with Jesus. Show them the peace and freedom of a relationship with You through Jesus and teach us all how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. Let Your living Word help us stand having girded our waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always praying that You continue to bless us and our love ones in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 09/20/2012

Live creatively, friends. If someone falls into sin, forgivingly restore him, saving your critical comments for yourself. You might be needing forgiveness before the day’s out. Stoop down and reach out to those who are oppressed. Share their burdens, and so complete Christ’s law. If you think you are too good for that, you are badly deceived.

Abba Father I find myself wondering more and more if is it me. I mean I know (well I feel) I have come a long way while realizing I still have a long way to go; but is it me. Has the busyness and worries under the sun consumed us. Or am I failing to see the growth in progres of others. Is it me. I mean I feel willing to forgive, but have I. I feel I do not judge, but do I. Have I deceived myself. Have I not come along as far as I thought. In the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I come to so that You would create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, so that I may live creatively for my one walk with Jesus. Show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people with a clear perspective and understanding of reality if there is such a thing. Help me stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

Abba Father we can speak in so many ways and communicate in so many ways, especially with those we are closest to and know us best. All the more reasons we must not let unwholesome thoughts enter our mind or over take us; fear, doubt, worry and anxiousness can affect what and how we communicate and make us seem like hypocrites. All the more reason I come to you each day in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit so that You can create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, so my one walk in and with Jesus is visible and not overshadowed by the the effects of the things under the sun. Show me how to overcome in the now of the moment and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. Help me stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
