My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/23/2013

The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand.

< >< My Prayer >< >

Lord God thank You for the confidence that comes from knowing You direct my steps. Help me when I doubt. Thank You for being present to steady me when I stumble and to strengthen me when the way is hard. Help me to practice Your presence. Where are we going today, Lord? Keep me in step with You 1 – One Walk. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power.(r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in and through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert and always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel. I humbly pray in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/17/2013

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.

Abba Father I am reassured by John’s testimony that, yes, You are completely trustworthy. Not one shred of darkness exists in You. Because You are totally trustworthy, today I can humbly and confidently place my trust in You as my leader and my guide.1 I start by coming to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power.(r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in and through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert and always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Jesus, You have lavished grace on me, bringing me from death to life, redeeming my past, and transforming my present and my future. I think of how desperately people around me need Your grace. Let Your grace to me overflow in my relationships with others. In Your name I pray, amen.1

The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters.

Lord God, my source of source, I confess that there are times I struggle with being in control. I usurp Your rightful place, and try to orchestrate life to my liking. Forgive me. I need Your Spirit to produce godly self-control within me, and to find my place as Your servant.1 This is why through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You each morning, so that You can create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power.(r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. My Daily Prayers and Readings for 06/19/2013

As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Abba Father thank You for the power of Your word. May it accomplish all that You desire in my life today. Through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For my one walk in and with You today, as a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power.(r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Lord, I am humbled that You have given me a role to play in seeing Your kingdom come to reality. Thank You for the confidence that comes from realizing that You have been at work throughout my life to prepare me to be Your servant. What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

God, my source of source, who raised Jesus from death to life, who pours out Your Spirit on Your people, thank You that Jesus is present with me today. You know the challenges that I face, the ones that would cause me to act out of pride and fear. But in You I have hope. I can freely, humbly, and confidently move into this day, aware of Your presence and focused on serving others. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.1
