My Daily Prayers and Readings for 09/10/2013
Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”

Jesus, this in the crux of the matter. Am I clinging to my role as leader or am I choosing to follow You as the leader of my life? I renounce my pride, and humbly place myself under Your leadership. In Your name, I ask that others see only You through my life. 1 Liken my heart to Yours, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Keep me free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Staying alert to always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
