My Daily Prayers and Readings for 01/18/2014

“I hate pride and arrogance.”

< >< My Prayer >< >

Lord Jesus, thank You for Your example of humility and mercy. Forgive me for my stubborn, prideful treatment of others. I want to change. Help me to lay aside pride, admit wrongs, and humbly ask for forgiveness. Through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Help me to stay conscious in the now of the moment, ready to die to myself. Remembering that if I get nothing else done, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in the Spirit for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and for those You place in my path. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 01/17/2014

Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.

Abba Father each through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. I pray that me and mine will fulfill Your will. And I tell myself to be ready to always left up in prayer those You place in my path. I step out strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, I need to spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. But then by taking my eyes off You and fixing them on the things under the son, I stumble and fall. Help me to stay focused on You. Help to not put pressure on myself, but instead turn to You. Guide me through this day, so at night I can look back knowing I accomplished what I stepped out to do in You. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 01/15/2014

Then Job replied to the Lord: “I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted. You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures my plans without knowledge?’ Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know.

“You said, ‘Listen now, and I will speak; I will question you, and you shall answer me.’ My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you. Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes.”

Lord God, to often I think and try to speak of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know. To end up only with regret. So I repent and through the Holy Spirit within me, in Jesus’ name and come to You so that You can create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that the in the end, all that matters is that I spend this day loving You and others first, as You love me. And that me and mine fulfill Your will. Staying alert to always pray for those You place in our path. Looking to You whenever I speak, so that words may be given to me, so that I may fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

The Lord’s light penetrates the human spirit, exposing every hidden motive.

Abba Father search me with Your light, expose my motives, even those I hide from others. Examine my heart and mind and behavior. Remind me of Your call to servant leadership. Transform me so that I can lead like Jesus.1 Create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For my one walk in and with You today, as a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and fill me with forgiveness and love. Help me to stay strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 01/06/2014

Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Abba Father help to “lay aside every encumbrance.” And to “run with endurance the race that is set before me.”1 Create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. My Daily Prayers and Readings for 01/05/2014

Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you girded yourself and walked where you would; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish to go.”

Abba Father no matter what changes You make in me, never let me rely on them. Instead build only on a Person, the Lord Jesus Christ, and on the Spirit He gives me.1 For through the Holy Spirit within me and only in His name, can I come to You so that You can create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For only in Jesus through the Holy Spirit is my one walk in and with You possible. To staying strong in You and Your almighty power (r or l) I must stay focused on Him and practice His presence in each moment. Remembering that if I get nothing else done, I need spend each moment loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying through the Spirit and in His name for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
