My Daily Prayers and Readings for 11/10/2013

A good woman is hard to find, and worth far more than diamonds.

Abba Father thank you for my Annie and for blessing our marriage for 29 years. Years that as I look back remind me of rings in a tree. Not all are perfect. Some have cracks and some surround knots full of regret. But because of You our love for what we are and have together has held us together. And like the rings in a tree, together we are better and stronger, able to twist and bend, without breaking. I believe You put us together, and our love for each other is much like our faith, often filled with doubt, but purified and strengthened by fire. I pray for Your continued blessing, and that together we will fulfill Your will. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 11/08/2013

For He has satisfied the thirsty soul, And the hungry soul He has filled with what is good.

Lord God my source of source, through Jesus I am made whole.1 My a steadfast spirit is renewed and my heart is made pure, likened to His. I am made ready for my one walk in and with You today. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. A channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Knowing that if I get nothing else done this day, I must spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying through the Spirit on all occasions for me and mine to fulfill Your will. Being alert to always pray for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

“Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns.

Lord, as I step into what You have for me today, help me to live in light of Your call. I want to be a faithful and wise servant whose life reveals the transformation You are working in me as I look forward to Your return.1 Likened my heart to Jesus, and renew a steadfast spirit within me for my one walk in and with You today. As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

Abba Father, teach me, to still my soul before You. Help me to bear patiently the trials I face, and to leave everything to You to direct and provide. I know that You will always remain faithful. Through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For my one walk in and with You today, as a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert to always praying for those You place in my path. But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

Abba Father I am humbled by Your blessings. Through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me for my one walk in and with You. As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness, love and gratitude. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying without ceasing for me and mine to fulfill Your will. Alert to always pray for those You place in my path. Always looking to You, so that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, to fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. My Daily Prayers and Readings for 11/01/2013

What is the source of quarrels and conflicts among you? Is not the source your pleasures that wage war in your members? You lust and do not have; so you commit murder. You are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures. You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you think that the Scripture speaks to no purpose: “He jealously desires the Spirit which He has made to dwell in us”? But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, “God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

Abba Father how easily it is to lose conscious awareness of Your Spirit within us. For the teachings and ways under the sun numb our spiritual senses. Separating us from You and keeping us from being what You created us to be. Only when we find the courage to accept Your truths and humbly approach the foot of the Cross can we find ourselves in Jesus. This is why I come to You each day asking that You create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. And why I pray without ceasing for me and mine to fulfill Your will through one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

If you have faith as a mustard seed . . . nothing will be impossible for you

Abba Father with eyes of faith, help me to walk by faith. To remain true to Your character no matter what. Let my ‘one walk’ be an example to mine and others of faith being worked out in the reality of my experiences. Never confusing the trial of faith with the ordinary discipline of life,1 which we must all learn by our one to one relationship with You. Help me to make sure that whenever I speak, words are given to me, so that I will be able to fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. Which starts with a pure heart, likened to Jesus’ and a steadfast spirit. Strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Putting my love for You and others first, as You love me. Praying through the Spirit for me and mine to fulfill Your will. And always praying for those You place in my path. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen
