One Walk

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 10/06/2012

Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD himself, is the Rock eternal.

Abba Father You are my rock, my refuge! My source of source! Truth! How could I have waited so long, but one day with You is better than a thousand without You. I know, in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I can come each day and You will always create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. You will show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. You help me stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one, who lurks in the darkness under the sun. I always feel blessed beyond belief, yet I pray that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, keeping us from evil and pain. Using this time and my messages to remind us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and each other and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 10/05/2012

“If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.”

Abba Father the ‘I’m third’ approach to life under the sun, is not an easy one. First it is contrary to our fallen nature of selfishness, lustfulness and pride. Add to this we are surrounded and bombarded with messages that feed and tempt this fallen nature. The good news is You planted in us the need to know, love and be with You; to rise above ourselves through death of self for You and for others. The challenge is how and the answer is Jesus. Through Jesus we find the power to die to our fallen nature,and rise in and through Him to know, love, and be with You by faith. It starts with asking You, in His name, the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit to create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for one walk in and with Jesus where I am third, and find fullness and joy being so. I must remain connected to You, and open to You, throughout the day in the now of each moment, so that You will show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. I prepare by standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one, who lurks. Praying without ceasing for others and asking that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 10/04/2012

He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.

Abba Father it can’t be just that simple – ‘He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.’ Yet we make it so much more; we make about tomorrow, by putting off having relationship with You until, but until is like tomorrow. We have to get back to the innocence of our childhood before religion and the ways under the sun hardened our hearts and closed our minds with the hypocrisy of the Pharisees. We need to feel You in us, and hear Your voice. We need to drop to our knees and in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within through the Holy Spirit come to so that You would create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within, and we need to maintain that purity and steadfastness through one walk in and with Jesus. We need to open our hearts so You can show and teach us how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. We need to start our days in Your Word so that You will help us stand having girded our waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which we will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one for he will attack us closer we get to You. And we need to pray without ceasing, asking that You continue to bless us and ours in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; remembering that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 10/03/2012

When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?”

Abba Father we all want to know what is planted in our hearts and mind, The meaning of life. Why are we here? The answer is You! Our fallen nature is the illness that keeps us from finding out that the seed planted in us, is the need to know, love and have a relationship with You. You planted it there when You created us, and only You can help it grow to become what You meant us to be. So in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I come to You daily, so that You would create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, the starting point for my one walk in and with Jesus each day. I ask that You will show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. I take Your hand each day as I stand having girded my waist with Your truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness that only You can provide, and having shod my feet with the preparation of Jesus’ gospel of peace; and above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one who seeks to keep me from doing Your will, and being what You created me to be. Always asking that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 10/02/2012

People draw near Me with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but their hearts hold off and are far away from Me.

Abba Father Your Words are full of truth, to bad we are taught religion, rather than Your Words  of truth. How unfortunate ‘that so many of us honor You with our lips; But our heart is far from You1’. We are to much like the Pharisees that Jesus warned us about; dishonoring Your Words by our hypocritical behavior and actions under the sun. We allow worry, anxiety, fear and desire for the things under the sun to consume us, leaving no room for You. This is for me, the difference between believing You are God, and following You as our Lord God and Savior. Hearing the Call, and knowing that we can never be what You created us to be without You. We must in all supplication come to You, in the name of Jesus Christ, so that You can forgive us and create a pure heart in us, and renew a steadfast spirit within us. Asking that You will show and teach us how to be a channel of Your truth, peace and love in all situations will all people. Grasping Your hand as we stand each day having girded our waist with this truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod our feet with the preparation of Jesus’ gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which we will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one, who seeks to separate us from You. Humbly praying that You continue to bless us and ours in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; and reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 10/01/2012

“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Abba Father we are not in an arena facing death, nor do we live in a Country where we face imprisonment or death; but those who believe and follow You do face what I believe is a threat that will eventually lead to the type of persecution Jesus tells us about in today’s verse. Now more than anytime in my lifetime we must stand having girded our waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which we will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. We must eliminate all hypocrisy from within us and our walk, and in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within us through the Holy Spirit pray daily that You would create in us a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within us, for one walk in and with Jesus. We must open ourselves to You fully holding nothing back so that in that in the now of each moment You can show and teach us how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. We must pray without ceasing for our nation, always asking that You continue to bless us in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done each day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
