One Walk

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 09/16/2012

[Two Kinds of Wisdom] Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.

Abba Father in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I come to so that You would create in me a pure heart, where I am most open to Your words of wisdom, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. Show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. Help me stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 09/15/2012

Before destruction the heart of a man is haughty, And before honor is humility.

Abba Father, Jesus tells us it will not be easy and the doorway is narrow; but You are what I seek above anything under the sun. So in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I come to so that You would create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. It is from here that I can gain the wisdom of humility and develope eyes of faith. For I know if I keep coming to You, You will show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. You will raise me up and place me on firm ground, above my enemies and my own mistakes and sins. I know You will help me stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 09/14/2012

[Imitating Christ’s Humility] Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.

Abba Father ‘one walk’ with Jesus is what I seek, what I need. To imitate His humility. But this requires ones with You through the Spirit, in Him. So in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I come to so that You would create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. Show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people, especially mine where it can be hardest. Help me stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

“God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.”

Abba Father have become so comfortable in my ways, but has comfort led to stagnation and retreat. Inspire me by Your Spirit “of power, of love and of self-discipline” to reach for Your creative best. Thank You for the gift of new life I can enjoy every day. In the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I come to so that You would create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. So You will show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people, especially mine. Help me stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. My Daily Prayers and Readings for 09/12/2012

I trust in you; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me. No one who hopes in you
will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause.

Abba Father I surrender anew to You my Lord, my God, my Savior, my Source of Source  trusting You to show me the way forward. Overcoming disappointment in myself. Focusing on You, the One whom I long to please. Finding hope in Your forgiveness and grace to enable me to move forward in and through Your power. In the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I ask that You would create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. That You will show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. That You will help me stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.

Abba Father what is it that makes us want to know that which we cannot understand; to understand that which we cannot comprehend. To question… ‘I lift my eyes to You, knowing that my help comes only from You; my source of source. I ask each day in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I come to so that You would create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. That You will continue to show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. That You will be with me when I  stand each day having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. My Daily Prayers and Readings for 09/10/2012

Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

Abba Father You have blessed me so, and taught me so much despite myself. One thing I believe is I believe in Your truths, help me in my unbelief. Help me to lift others up feeding my belief without letting them bring me down or feeding my unbelief. We all have needs, fears and doubts; we all feel alone when disconnecting from You. Help me be there without being there. Prepare me for today by creating in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit, for my one walk in and with Jesus. Show me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. Help me stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. no matter how or through whom he tries to attack my belief. Continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
