One Walk

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 09/09/2012

Guide older men into lives of temperance, dignity, and wisdom, into healthy faith, love, and endurance. Guide older women into lives of reverence so they end up as neither gossips nor drunks, but models of goodness.

Abba Father continue to guide and teach me and mine in Your ways and truths as Paul writes. Create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. Show me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. Give me patience and understanding that never runs empty. Help me stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.

Abba Father in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I come to so that You would create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 09/06/2012

“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you.”

Abba Father by Your grace and grace alone I am able to come to You in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit and ask that You would create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. Through Jesus’ I am forgiven, and by Your grace and mercy I can begin to forgive myself. With Jesus as my teacher I hope and pray that You will show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. With Jesus in my heart I ask that You will help me stand having girded my waist with Your truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will with eyes of faith, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 09/05/2012

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Abba Father help me to stay present in the moment with You. Wherever You place me. Who ever You place in my path. In all that I say and do. Keep me aware of Your purpose for bringing me into each situation. Stay with me in every task and conversation. Keep me present with those whom You bring my way, remind me that they are created in Your image, and help me meet them at their point of their need. In the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I come to so that You can prepare me by creating in me a pure heart, and renewing a steadfast spirit, for my one walk in and with Jesus. That You will help me stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus. Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you—guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.

Abba Father ‘how wise You are, and full of understanding! From before time, You have possessed knowledge and wisdom, and You freely answer me when I call to You for insight. I open my heart and mind to You. Show me how to walk in Your way today, thinking like You think, pursuing Your purposes, and speaking words that reflect Your wisdom.’ Create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. Show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people. Vanity of vanities, says the Preacher,  vanity of vanities! All is vanity. What does man gain by all the toil  at which he toils under the sun?

Abba Father You have taught me well, in ‘the end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.’ So each day I come to You seeking to return to where I started by asking in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I come to so that You would create in me a pure heart, and I pray that You renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. That You will show and teach me how to be a channel of Your peace and love in all situations will all people; the unbeliever, the fearful and the doubtful. That You will help me stand having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You continue to bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. For in the end we are all sinners, unbelievers in disobedience, fearful in worry and anxiousness and doubtful in lack of faith. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
