One Walk

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 06/25/2012

Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?” declares the LORD. “Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the LORD.

Abba Father ‘when we see a failure, show us that You are in charge of our careers and business. Show us that as we look to You in our work life roles, that our success and failure is not final, but only a part of our walk with you, and that all things will work together to fulfill your purpose.’ In the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Make me a channel of Your peace and love, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.

but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Abba Father oh how I hope and look to You Lord God throughout the day. And oh how I pray that today I will soar on wings like an eagle; I will run the race and not grow weary, I will walk through all the good and bad that this day brings and not be faint.  This is why I start today asking in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Make me a channel of Your peace and love, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. My Daily Prayers and Readings for 06/22/2012

Such confidence we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God, who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Abba Father help me to look beyond my own inadequacy to the sufficiency of Christ. In the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

Abba Father I do seek to dwell in Your shelter, and I have felt the rest of being in Your presence and I am blessed for it. For eve through my doubt I know I believe because of this. I can’t explain it, but I know I feel it. I only hope that others will see You in me, so I will not have too. To this end I again ask in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Abba Father You picked me up and placed me on the straight and narrow path to Your kingdom. Jesus taught me it would not be easy, and the Holy Spirit accompanies me through all my ups and downs, making sure that when I stumble or fall it is Your hand that I take to steady myself and lift myself back up. All I ask in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit, You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Make me a channel of Your peace and love, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word,

Abba Father Your wisdom is hidden in Your truths for those willing to take the time to contemplate and reflect on Your word with an open heart and mind. The world under the sun changes for us when we decide to act on our belief and follow Jesus Christ; and discipleship becomes more of a matter of if than when. For once one feels the truth of  Your word, they are changed. I never ask for signs, but You know I need them, and sure enough just when my doubt gets too close to being too much, You show me what I need to ease my doubt and fear. All I need to do is keep coming to You and trying to practice Your presence. In the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today.
