My Daily Prayers and Readings for 10/09/2013

Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went.

< >< My Prayer >< >

Lord God what do You want and need to do in me so that I can lead like Jesus? What hinders me from being who You want me to be? As you place me in new situations today, open my eyes to the people and opportunities You are placing in front of me. Put me where You need me.1 With a pure heart, and a steadfast spirit. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. A channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Praying on all occasions for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will, for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 10/08/2013

Despite their fear of the peoples around them, they built the altar on its foundation and sacrificed burnt offerings on it to the LORD, both the morning and evening sacrifices.

Lord God, turn my attention from what others think of me, and let me have eyes of faith only for what You think of my life and work. Replace fear of people with a reverent awe of You that drowns out all else. Keep me focused on what You’ve called me to do.1 With a pure heart, and a steadfast spirit. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) For my one walk in and with You today, as an example of Your presence and a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Remembering that if I get nothing else done, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. Praying without ceasing for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and for those You place in my path.In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 10/07/2013

This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God. Therefore, putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls. But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was. But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does.

When it pleased God . . . to reveal His Son in me . . .

Lord Jesus through the Holy Spirit within me, I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For I know my own limitations, and that only in one walk with You can I stay energized by the Your Holy Spirit.1 And become a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Cover in Your armor. Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, I must spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying without ceasing through the Spirit for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the Your gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

Lord Jesus, Your compassion and grace has transformed my life. Let me come alongside others at their point of need in the same way that You continually and compassionately meet me at my point of need. May others sense Your compassion and grace as I serve them in Your name.1 With a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, I must spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. My Daily Prayers and Readings for 10/03/2013

Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.

Lord God my source of source in everything; this I know. So I start my day seeking Your presence and connecting with my source. Openly listening for I also know that all that I have and treasure is not of my effort but only by Your mercy and grace through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior (Gal. 4:28).1 So create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Continue to teach me how to act on Your will at Your time. For my one walk in and with You must be in step with Your timing not mine. By Your grace not my effort. I must remember that if I get nothing else done each day, I must spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying without ceasing in the Spirit for me and mine to fulfill Your will. Always praying for those You place in my path. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Lord God, my source of source. There are days like today when all I want to do is to stay home and be alone in Your conscious presence and rest. Here with You, I feel on top of the world, but I cannot, I must use this time with You to learn and get ready to do Your will. Stepping down into the world under the sun with Your Son.1 With a pure heart, and a steadfast spirit. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) One walk in and with You, as a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. And an example of Your presence within me. Remembering that the best way to do this is by loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying without ceasing through the Spirit for me and mine to fulfill Your will. And for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
