Now, Israel, hear the decrees and laws I am about to teach you. Follow them so that you may live and may go in and take possession of the land the LORD, the God of your ancestors, is giving you.

Lord God, You know where I am tempted to substitute worldly goals and leadership principles for serving and partnering with You. Clear my vision, and refresh my perspective through Your Word and Your Spirit. I want to follow You and live and realize all that You have in mind. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.1

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/23/2013

The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand.

Lord God thank You for the confidence that comes from knowing You direct my steps. Help me when I doubt. Thank You for being present to steady me when I stumble and to strengthen me when the way is hard. Help me to practice Your presence. Where are we going today, Lord? Keep me in step with You 1 – One Walk. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power.(r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in and through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert and always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel. I humbly pray in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.

Lord God through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You each day so that You can create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power.(r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in and through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being Christ like at all times, alert and always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel. One walk in and with You today, as a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Lord God through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You so that in Your presence You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. I begin by “bowing” my heart before the You and surrendering everything.1 For my one walk in and with You today, as a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power.(r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in and through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert and always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel. Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to your care. Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge, which some have professed and in so doing have departed from the faith.

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.

Abba Father I am reassured by John’s testimony that, yes, You are completely trustworthy. Not one shred of darkness exists in You. Because You are totally trustworthy, today I can humbly and confidently place my trust in You as my leader and my guide.1 I start by coming to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power.(r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in and through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will.
