My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/29/2012

I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have preserved my life.

Abba Father You saved me from myself and the ways under the sun. You have blessed me with what means the most to me. Yet I know nothing under the sun is forever, only in and with You is there eternity. So I rely on Your precepts for I know within them is the truth so lacking from under the sun. I know I must listen with an open and pure heart, free of the things under the sun that only serve to block Your truths. I must maintain a steadfast spirit to persevere, humble and ready serve wherever and with whom ever You place before me. To do this, I ask in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit that You create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. I pray that You make me a channel of Your peace and love, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/28/2012

I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Abba Father I press on needing to remember, that the closer I get the less I am of the world under the sun, and the more the the world under the sun will reject me and evil will attack me. For the evil one wants me to quit, to fail, and uses those closest and the ways under the sun to deceive and trick me into giving up, but I will press on because I feel You and have seen Your works first hand. So I rise each day knowing I must start it asking in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit that You create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. To be a channel of Your peace and love, I must be ready and practice Your presence. Standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/27/2012

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,

Abba Father thank You for taking my boy by the hand and walking with Him. For the healing miracle You are performing right before our eyes. For opening his heart to Your power and presence. Use him, continue to guide him. Give him a discerning mind and awaken him to the heart of Jesus within him. In the name of Christ Jesus who lives within him through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in him a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within him, for his one walk in and with Jesus. Make him a channel of Your peace and love, teach him how to stand having girded his waist with truth, and how to put on the breastplate of righteousness, and how to shod his feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which he will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. I ask that You bless him and his always in fulfillment of Your will and keep him from evil and pain; reminding him that if he gets nothing else done each day, let him spend it loving You and others first, as You love him. This is my prayer, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

[Faith in Action] Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

Abba Father to walk by faith with eyes of faith is what practice. In confidence, overcoming doubt through death of self. Replacing what I have leanred under the sun with the teachings of Your Son. Starting each day asking in His name, the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit that You create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for one walk in and with Jesus. As a channel of Your peace and love, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

I will hasten and not delay to obey your commands.

Abba Father today’s verse is far too often easier said than done under the sun. Overcoming our fallen nature and all the distractions and temptations the world under the sun throws at us, takes desire and practice. The kind of desire that we feel when we are in love, all consuming and engulfing love. The love that drives and motivates us to practice Your presence in the now of every moment. To ask You over and over again in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within us through the Holy Spirit to create in us a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within us, for one walk in and with Jesus. To die to ourselves in order to become a channel of Your peace and love. To always standing ready having girded our waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which we will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. I know no other way! So I ask that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of this walk and Your will, keeping us from evil and pain. Reminding us in the now of the moment that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/24/2012

Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely, who conduct their affairs with justice.

Abba Father the days aren’t as long and the hours as many, but the busyness and hecticness seems to be never ending. Is it as simple as the evil one trying to stop me from being with You in these quiet moments each day. Or am I lacking discipline. Either way the fight is the same. For without You I am nothing and cannot have peace and clarity to my walk. I do know while I may not be able to have my quiet time each morning with You, I do practice Your presence throughout the day in the now of the moment, focus on producing the fruit of the Spirit. And I always ask in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit that You create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Help prepare me to be a channel of Your peace and love, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. Abba Father life under the sun corrupts us, given our fallen nature we must continually fight the temptations that surround, keeping the heart and mind of a child. Remembering and reflecting on the thoughts and dreams we had before the world under the sun corrupted us. Asking in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within us through the Holy Spirit that You create in us a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within us, for our one walk in and with Jesus. Humbling ourselves before You so that we may be a channel of Your peace and love. Standing having girded our waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which we will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless us in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
