One Walk

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/14/2012

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Abba Father, Jesus tells us ‘if you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love.’ One of His commands is that we do not worry or be anxious in any way. Now He knew that under the sun this would not be easy. This is why we must take hold of His yoke. In His name we must pray that You create a pure heart in us, and renew a steadfast spirit, for this one walk in and with Him. We must be diligent in what we say, do and think. To be a channel of His peace and love, we must stand having girded my waist with the truth that He teaches us, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness we must walk with eyes of faith, and having shod our feet with the preparation of His gospel of peace; and above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one who will attack us and use what we fear as a lion roams its prey, waiting, lurking. So we must practice Your presence and stay ready in faith, hope and love. Always asking that You bless us in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/13/2012

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Abba Father in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. Protect me from myself, my pride, selfishness and anger. Use these sinful ways as a thorn in my flesh to keep me humble and close to You. For as Paul  said, ‘Your grace is sufficient for me, for power is perfected in weakness.’ ‘Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.’ Make me a channel of Your peace and love, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/12/2012

There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all. There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us.

Abba Father help me to know and put to use my spiritual gifts. To build on the work You have begun in me through Jesus in the Holy Spirit, create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. To achieve Your will for me. Make me a channel of Your wisdom, peace and love; use me where and how You need me. Help me to always be ready having girded my waist with Your truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the Jesus’ gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done each day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. Disciples of Jesus. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/11/2012

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Abba Father with each day that passes I feel the line gets more clearer. I’m either with You or against You. Believing leads to following and following to discipleship. I cannot be warm, I’m either cold or hot. I’m in the world under the sun, but the Son is my source of source. To be all You will me to be I must separate myself from the ways under the sun, embrace my cross and live obediently as one with You, moment by moment with eyes of faith and a heart likened to Christ’. I must start each day praying In the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit that You create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. Make me a channel of Your peace and love, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Abba Father I am confident that You will do just that, complete the good work You began in me. And in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. Make me a channel of Your peace and love, let Your work in me be seen. As I stand having girded my waist with Your truth, and put on Your breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of Jesus’ gospel of peace; and above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/03/2012

Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.

Abba Father convicted by Your grace, forgiven by Your mercy, we must all ask ourselves where are we headed, how are we getting there. Are we quietly and passively giving in to the ways under the sun, lost in our desires. Not even aware of the cost. In politeness we hesitate to say His name. We must wake up, for soon politeness will give way to fear. Jesus is the way, and only those with something to fear should fear His name. Not us! For we are His. The seed to know Him, worship Him and love Him is planted in our hearts. We can hide it, but we cannot remove it. So now is the time to drop to our knees in prayer and in His name pray that You create in us a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within us, for one walk in and with Jesus. Confident in His glory, assured by His Words. Channels of His peace and love, standing having girded our waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which we will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless us in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
