One Walk

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/09/2012

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever!

Abba Father to You be the glory in Jesus Christ. For through Him ‘we are called to become something other than what we would have been if the call did not exist. We are not permitted to remain passive, but are called upon, by these words, to illuminate a world of spiritual and social darkness.’ And in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within us through the Holy Spirit, we must continually pray that You create in us a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within us, for one walk in and with Jesus. Making us channels of Your peace and love, examples of Your grace and mercy. Standing having girded our waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which we will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless us in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/02/2012

The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? “I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.”

Abba Father oh how we deceive ourselves. The desires under the sun corrupt us so, little by little without much notice, until if we are fortunate You call out to us or get our attention through what ever means You see fit. Then if we are blessed and hear the call we wonder how we could have drifted so far off and away from You. We must overcome ourselves through death to the ways under the sun. We must in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit pray that You create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within, for one walk in and with Jesus. For He is the only way we can become channels of Your peace and love, standing having girded our waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. From here I ask that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. This is from where we must step out. Help us walk in confidence, conscious in the moment and through Jesus in the moment preparing for the next moment. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

I will bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name for your unfailing love and your faithfulness, for you have so exalted your solemn decree that it surpasses your fame.

Abba Father with a humble and grateful heart that in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Make me a channel of Your peace and love, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/01/2012

For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.

Abba Father I count it a blessing that by Your grace if we open our hearts we are humbled through faith in the unseen. For what ever one might hope to accomplish under the sun, it fails in comparison to what one finds in and through Your Son. That is why in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus. Make me a channel of Your peace and love, so that I will be ready to be used by You. Always standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

As for God, his way is perfect: The LORD’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.

Abba Father Your ways are perfect and Your word true. You are my refuge in times of trouble and the reason for the joy in my life. You have blessed me beyond comprehension, and humbled me into full contemplation of Your presence. It is with a grateful and humble heart and in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit that I pray that You create in me and mine a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within us, so we will each be able to walk in and with Jesus today. Make us a channel of Your peace and love, teach us to stand having girded our waist with Your truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which we will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless us in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 06/30/2012

and the people all tried to touch him, because power was coming from him and healing them all.

Abba Father I know You have the power to heal both body and spirit. I come to You humbly asking that You do so for my boy. In the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in him a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within him, so that he too would walk as one in and with Jesus. Make me a channel of Your peace and love for him. Help him to see in me Your hand at work, and give him the desire for You that You have given me. Help him to stand having girded his waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod his feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which he will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Free him from the chains under the sun that only serve to tie him up and limit his usefulness for You.  Always bless him and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep them from evil and pain; reminding us all that if we get nothing else done each day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. Counting our blessings, and finding contentment in You and the blessing of each other You have so graciously given us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

Abba Father my boy needs to see Your word at work within me so he will be challenged to listen too. Challenged to find the peace that is only found in You. So in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in him a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within him, for his one walk in and with Jesus. Help him to find contentment without knowing or having answer. Make him a channel of Your peace and love, with eyes of faith, trusting as I do more of what cannot be seen than what one sees. Teach him to stand having girded his waist with Your truths, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness through humility, and having shod his feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which he will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Teach him to always ask You for blessings to fulfillment of Your will for him and keep him from evil and pain; reminding him that if we get nothing else done each day, let him spend it loving You and others first, as You love him. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
