One Walk

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 05/27/2012

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.

Abba Father Like Paul my aim is to finish the race according to Your will and purpose for me and to leave mine knowing they have You in their life. It is not an easy race to run, and more than I can ever realize in the moment I am my biggest burden. This is why I know there must be more of You and less of me. So in the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Make me a channel of Your peace, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Always asking that You bless me and mine in fulfillment of Your will and keep us from evil and pain; reminding us that if we get nothing else done this day, let us spend it loving You and others first, as You love us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 05/26/2012

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Abba Father looking back at this day from today’s perspective, I want to think that You rescued me from a place I didn’t belong. A place I wasn’t ready for, lacking enough wisdom and discipline. A place where I would not grow any closer to You, but worse drift apart from You and mine. Help me to not rationalize, but through awareness of Your blessings never let me let anything come between You and me, and me and mine. In the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Make me a channel of Your peace, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. [Listening and Doing] My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,

Abba Father I confess that I need Your forgiveness. Search my heart for strongholds of unforgiveness, fear and pride. Show me where, and how, I need to forgive. Fill me with an awareness of Your forgiveness, cleansing, and transformation, and help me pass that on to others by being a better listener, speaking less and eliminated all anger from within me. In the name of Christ Jesus who lives within me through the Holy Spirit I pray that You create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, for my one walk in and with Jesus today. Make me a channel of Your peace, standing having girded my waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
