Disciples and Servants

You cannot allow two masters to rule your life. Either you will disregard one and love the other; or else cling to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and remain enslaved to the gods of this world.

I am sending you out as sheep among wolves. Be as wise as serpents, but as harmless as doves.

You have seen how the earthly rulers exercise their authority, inconsiderate of the poor. This is not how it is to those in the kingdom of God. Whoever would be great among you must first become your servant. And whoever of you would be the greatest, must first be servant of all. Even so, I have come, not to be served, but to serve, and to give my life as a ransom for many.

Lord God, Abba Father, humbly I listen, I watch, I wait for Your secret truths; those spiritual insights that when I can grasp become truths for me as through the ages. Secrets that when I am able to weave together in the conscious moments become steps, steps that when put together become my walk. That walk that I seek, ask and pray for that in and through Jesus I would know You more, love You more, walk in and with You more. And in so doing let Your light shine from within me for others to see. This I pray, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Christ’s Prayer for His Disciples

I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me; for they truly are yours. All who have believed in me are yours; and they do honor me. I am returning to you in heaven; but those that believe in me remain behind. Father, keep them by the power of your name; that they all may be one, as we are one.

Lord God, Abba Father, humbly I pray, renew a right spirit within me for I know I have fallen short of You glory in want I have said and done, and what I have failed to do right; but in and through Jesus I keep getting up and coming to the foot of the Cross. For it is there I find truth, love and forgiveness for me and for me to give to others. I must die to myself in every and all ways, help me Abba Father in the moments of my weakness, remind me and help me feel the difference in that which is just fleeting satisfaction and that which is of everlasting value. For I do seek You and in my moments of weakness I also forget and or lack the wisdom that is everlasting. Fill my spirit with You wisdom in these moments or throw me down to the foot of the Cross. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Who can forgive sins but God alone?"  8  And immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they thus questioned within themselves, said to them, "Why do you question thus in your hearts?  9  Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, `Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, `Rise, take up your pallet and walk’?  10  But that you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins" — he said to the paralytic —  11  "I say to you, rise, take up your pallet and go home."  12  And he rose, and immediately took up the pallet and went out before them all; so that they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, "We never saw anything like this!"

The Power of Prayer

Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, and your joy will be full.

The prophet Isaiah has written: "My house shall be called by all nations a house of prayer."

Pray then, to the Father who hears your most intimate prayers and rewards them openly; and whatever you ask the Father in my name, he will provide. If you live your life in me, and let my words live in you, you may ask what you wish and it will be given to you.

Pray in this manner:

“Our Father in heaven, may all the earth recognize that you are the one and holy God. May your kingdom dwell among us. May your purpose be accomplished on earth, as it is in heaven. Provide us with daily bread to sustain us, and forgive our falling short. Help us to forgive those who have wronged us. Keep us from wandering into faithlessness, and deliver us from the evil one. For to you belongs all power and glory, eternally. Let it be so."

Lord God, Abba Father, O that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory for Your service. That Your hand would be with me to keep me and mine from evil and from pain. Always making us aware of those You place in our path that are in need and afflicted, and convicting us when we place ourselves and our needs before those of others. Let me walk in the Spirit putting You first, others next and me third. I do believe You will provide what I need for today, I just keep asking that Your will be done in and through me each day. Lord God, Abba Father, how often Your Words make me feel as if I am not meant to understand having knowledge and wisdom as to Your truths. For I am meant to walk by faith knowing that that which is unseen is more real than that which is seen. And the only wisdom I need is that sufficient to trust in You for all things. Mine is but to stay close to You in and through Jesus in His Spirit which is alive in me. O that You would keep me humble, for it is there that I remain thankful. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

 The Call

You have not chosen me. I have chosen you, and appointed you to produce good fruit from the lives that you live, fruit that will last.

Because I have told you such things, do you believe? Truly, you will witness even greater things than these.

Enter therefore through the narrow gate; for wide is the path, and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many go that way. But narrow is the gate and the path which leads to life, and there are few that find it. Make every effort to go through the gate that leads to life. One day, many will want to exchange their way for the right way, and find it to be too late.

Lord God, Abba Father, thankful that I feel You, humbled by Your presence; I need only walk each day in this state, feeling thankful and being humble, for all that I am, will be is in and through You. Mine is only to feel and obey, and be a light in which others will see Your presence. Those that are healthy do not need a doctor; but those that are ill are in need of one.

You should understand this: I desire mercy, not sacrifice. For I have not come to call the righteous but the lost to repentance. Shouldn’t the sick in body, who the devil has bound, be set free?

Is it easier to say "Your sins are forgiven," or "Rise and be healed"?

That you might know beyond the shadow of a doubt that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive all wrongs, I announce to the sick: "Rise Up! Be of good cheer; your wrongs are forgiven. Go your way! As you have believed, so shall you receive. Your faith has made you well!"

Lord God, Abba Father, humble and thankful I feel a message of playing forward, taking the things You teach and show me and using them as I go forth each day and to stop looking back. For just as where my heart is so my eyes lead me. When my heart is in and with Jesus Christ His Spirit is at work within me likening my heart to His and in pray and supplication my image to His, but when I look back my heart wonders, doubts and I lose sight of my Lord and contact with His Spirit and the work slows, and comes to a stop if I allow myself to dwell in the shadows of my dark pride and selfish; the self pity and regret. So I must run to the Lord, falling at the foot of the Cross with hands raised until I feel His hand lifting me up. All the time knowing that while I am waiting He is still working. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
