My Daily Prayers and Readings for 09/12/2013

“You don’t know what you are asking,” Jesus said to them. “Can you drink the cup I am going to drink?”

< >< My Prayer >< >

Abba Father though I get weary and in my weariness confusion and doubt creep in. I run to You in Jesus name through the Holy Spirit within me, so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For my walk is filled with equal moments of clarity and moments cloudiness, but if I am able to stay focused on my one walk in the now of the moment, I will feel Your presence. Staying free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Strong in You and Your almighty power, covered in Your full armor. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done, let me spend it practicing Your presence by loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in the Spirit for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert to always pray for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 09/11/2013

For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: Love your neighbor as yourself. But if instead of showing love among yourselves you are always biting and devouring one another, watch out! Beware of destroying one another.

Lord Jesus, You tell and teach us to love one another as we love ourselves, but do we practice Your teaching. I only know it starts with practicing Your presence. Always asking that You create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within us. For me its about one walk in and with You. Remembering that if I get nothing else done each day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Being as a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people through presence in the now of the moment. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power, putting on Your full armor. (r or l) Praying through the Spirit for me and mine to fulfill Your will. Staying alert to always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”

Jesus, this in the crux of the matter. Am I clinging to my role as leader or am I choosing to follow You as the leader of my life? I renounce my pride, and humbly place myself under Your leadership. In Your name, I ask that others see only You through my life. 1 Liken my heart to Yours, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Keep me free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Staying alert to always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. Abba Father through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. To “be transformed by the renewing of my mind. . . .”1 for my one walk in and with You today. As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power, (r or l) putting on Your full armor. Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying through the Spirit for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert to always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. Abba Father through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit within me, I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Preparing for a day of choices that will bring me closer to You in the Spirit. One walk in the Spirit, in the now of each moment. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power. Putting on Your full armor, so I can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one who only seeks to separate me from You in each moment, by keeping me bound up in the natural life away from You and freedom of the spiritual life. 1 , r or l Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in the Spirit in every moment for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Alert to always pray for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk in the Spirit. You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.

Jesus, I come to Your cross each morning, and lay my life down. I look up, and realize that from Your love flows forgiveness, life, renewed hope, and energy. Humbled by God’s mercy and grace, I rise to serve in Your name. 1 Seeking a pure heart, and to renew a steadfast spirit within me for my one walk in and with You. As a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power.
