My Daily Prayers and Readings for 09/05/2013

A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy.

Jesus, thank You for reaching out to touch people, for getting Your hands dirty living in the real world and reshaping it according to the Father’s desire. Use my hands to do the same. 1 Create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For my one walk in and with You today. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) A channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying through the Spirit and in Your name on all occasions for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Alert to pray for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

Abba Father, in Jesus name, through the Holy Spirit within me I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. To dwell on Your truths and Your ways. 1 Preparing for my one walk in and with You today. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. As an example of Your presence and a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying on all occasions for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert to always pray for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Preparing to practice Your presence for my one walk in and with You today. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. A channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Praying through the Spirit on all occasions for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Staying alert to always pray for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – one walk through practicing Your presence in the now of every moment. Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.

Your ears will hear a word behind you, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left.

Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power. Praying through the Spirit, in the name of Jesus on all occasions for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Alert to always pray for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel – Your promise. 1 In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Lord God I confess that some days I would rather not be so very dependent on You. But then I am reminded that truthfully I don’t have all the answers. I need Your presence and perspective. I want to see what You will do today as I humbly depend on You. 1 So I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying on all occasions for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?”… The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?”

Lord God, living by Your values and according to Your purpose calls for courage. Permeate my heart and mind, so that living by Your values becomes second-nature to me. May I courageously choose to love like Jesus, in spite of the world’s pressure to judge. Create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. 1 Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power.
