My Daily Prayers and Readings for 08/13/2013

Do not quench the Spirit.

< >< My Prayer >< >

Jesus through the Holy Spirit 1 within me, I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For my one walk in and with You today with eyes of faith. Hopefully as a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Full of the fruit of the Spirit – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. 1 Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert and always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

My Daily Prayers and Readings for 08/12/2013

Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness.

Jesus, I am amazed at what You can do when we offer ourselves and what we have to You. Thank You for including me in the miracle of serving others. 1 Create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me with eyes of faith. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. (r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert and always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel. Lord God my source of source. Help me rely on Your great love even when I feel weighed down by disappointments. Comfort and strengthen me in my need. Create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power. Give me hope and courage that I can become the person and leader You want me to be. I know I can trust You to tell me the truth and to shape me into a Christ-like servant leader. But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.
