My Daily Prayers and Readings for 07/27/2013

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,

Abba Father through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You so that You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. For my one walk in and with You today, as a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power.(r or l) So that I may walk with perseverance the race marked out for me. Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being alert and always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

The tongue of the wise makes knowledge appealing, but the mouth of a fool belches out foolishness.

Lord God, my source of source, You are a master wordsmith, speaker, and teacher. I ask that You would anoint my words with Your Spirit. May my words be backed up by my life, so that they ring true and appeal to others. May they reveal wisdom, not foolishness. May they bring life and insight to others. 1 Keep my mind and heart pure in thought, and give me a steadfast spirit. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power.(r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand.

Lord God thank You for the confidence that comes from knowing You direct my steps. Help me when I doubt. Thank You for being present to steady me when I stumble and to strengthen me when the way is hard. Help me to practice Your presence. Where are we going today, Lord? Keep me in step with You 1 – One Walk. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Strong in You and Your almighty power.(r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in and through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power.(r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in and through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Being Christ like at all times, alert and always praying for those You place in my path. Asking that whenever I speak, words may be given to me, so that I will fearlessly make known the truth in the mystery of the gospel. One walk in and with You today, as a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Lord God through the Holy Spirit within me and in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to You so that in Your presence You will create a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. I begin by “bowing” my heart before the You and surrendering everything.1 For my one walk in and with You today, as a channel of Your peace and love in all situations with all people. Free of judgement and full of forgiveness and love. Staying strong in You and Your almighty power.(r or l) Remembering that if I get nothing else done this day, let me spend it loving You and others first, as You love me. Praying in and through the Spirit and in the name of Jesus on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests for me and mine in fulfillment of Your will. Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to your care. Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge, which some have professed and in so doing have departed from the faith.
